After Bill was finished talking, or rather, yelling at Pine-Tree, he put him to sleep, giving him the long needed sleep he needed after a stressful night, but punishing him at the same time. Even when the kid was asleep, Bill was still furious. The anger practically dripped off of him.

He made his way out towards where his demon gang was waiting for him, gathered by his throne.

"Where's the kid?" Pyronica asked, noticing his absence. She also noticed how Bill seemed upset, annoyed even. She knew that wasn't a very good sign. Usually Bill hid his emotions quite well. That is unless what he was feeling was insanely strong. Meaning, he must be really annoyed.

"He's being punished." Bill responded bluntly. His annoyance was even in his voice. Everyone knows it now. When he said 'punished' all the demons who didn't have their heads turned towards him we're definitely looking at him now.

"Punished?" Keyhole started. "If you don't mind my asking, what did he do?"

Bill sighed and rubbed his eye. "He went behind my back and was talking to a human for months, and what makes it worse... It was Shooting-Star."

Everyone went silent awaiting what Bill was going to say next. They all knew if the two found out they were twins it would mean what they've been waiting and working towards for many many years could all go to waste.

"Luckily, he didn't find out anything that would ruin my plans. Actually, he returned with something that could make it so we get out of this wasteland faster."

His followers let out a sigh of relief but were also quite curious as to what their leader meant.

"What did he have, boss?" 8-Ball asked.

"He had good ol' Fordsie's journal! Shooting-Star gave it to him, but what's even better, Pine-Tree promised he would give it back next week, and that's exactly what he's going to do." Bill said before explaining his plan to his henchmaniacs. They all agreed that it was a brilliant idea.

After he was done he let his friends do their own thing while he spent his time thinking and going through every way this could go wrong, creating backup plans in case that were to happen. Until Kryptos came up to him.

"Hey, Bill." Kryptos said.

Bill looked over towards them, still pretty deep in thought. "What do you want?"

"Nothing, just a little bored. What are you doing?" The gray demon asked.

"What does it look like I'm doing? I'm plotting."

Kryptos was always the runt of the group. Everyone normally picked on him a lot and he preferred to stay out of the spotlight. He spent most of his time around Bill and Pyronica since they were the only ones he considered to be close friends with even though they picked on him from time to time too. Of course, Bill only saw him as just another one of his friends and nothing else really, but really, Kryptos just longed for his approval. Approval for what- he didn't fully know. (A/N: No. No Kryptos x Bill. No.)

"You'll figure it out, we trust you to get us out of here. You do know the answer to everything, after all." Kryptos said.

Bill was pleased. He loved being treated and thought of as a God. The feeling it gave him was close to intoxicating. He just chuckled it off.

"You know, I'm impressed with the kid." Bill started. "I kinda like it when he does something so demonic as to even think of lying to me. Of course it's not 'okay', but as long as he isn't becoming an obstacle to my plans, I guess there isn't much harm. Not to mention the fact that even after talking to Shooting-Star, he showed his loyalty by still coming back every time. Even if he didn't tell me what he was really doing, he still came back and that pleases me more than anything."

Kryptos took a minute to take in what Bill had said. He was right, it was really a 'no harm, no foul' situation, until Bill spoke again.

"Though, we're lucky the kid got so guilty to the point where he came clean when he did. If that went on any longer, he could have put the pieces together. I can't have that."

"So, what's your plan?" Kryptos asked.

"Well, Pine-Tree still needs to return the Journal he received, doesn't he? I'll just have him return it to her at her home. I'll train Pine-Tree to make his way down to good ol' sixer's lab and destroy the rift that was created when Fordsie ran back through that portal. It's all ready. The six-fingered freak will have to go out to find a way to patch it up. That's when I'll send Pine-Tree in. He'll go in, destroy the rift, and that will be that." Bill explained.

"That's a good plan!"

Bill scoffed. "Of course it is, I fabricated it."

Kryptos felt dumbfounded by that statement. "Right! Of course it's great!"

Both shared a moment of silence until Kryptos broke that silence. "I'll be leaving then, bye." He said before flying off to who knows where.

Bill decided to go as well, he needed to go get Pine-Tree. Surely a few hours of nightmares would teach him his lesson. When he walked into Pine-Tree's room he saw him in his bed, cries coming from him, his eyes filled with tears, jerking and thrashing around. He was still angry with him and his anger made this such an entertaining sight to see, but of course it couldn't last forever.

Bill snapped his fingers and the boy jolted awake in panic, breathing very heavily. The demon just laughed at him. "Pine-Tree, I hope that little punishment has taught you your lesson on ly-" He couldn't even finish his sentence before he felt two little arms wrap around him. He floated there frozen with confusion and shock. Why is the kid hugging him? He wanted to make his nightmares bad but not that bad.

"A-Are you e-ever going to a-a-abandon me-me?" Pine-Tree asked between breaths, almost sobbing. Then it hit Bill. Unless he creates one himself, human nightmares are mainly based on any fears, thoughts, or predictions the subconscious stirs up during the day.

Pine-Tree was afraid he was going to abandon him.

Bill put his hands around the boy- one of the rare times Bill has hugged him back. Any anger he held at that moment was nonexistent. "Never in a trillion years would I even dare think of it, Pine-Tree."

The kid melted into the demon's chest, silently crying into Bill's black bow-tie, he didn't mind it though, it didn't matter.

All he was focused on was comforting his little sapling.
