Pyronica let Pine-Tree sit on her lap and cry for about 30 minutes. She spent the time just rubbing his head, not talking. Talking to the kid wasn't what Pyronica came to do. She came to comfort him in his time of distraught and confusion.

She loved him like a son but she couldn't comfort him forever, even though she wanted to. There was really only one way that he could feel better...

"No! I don't want to!" Pine-Tree exclaimed, looking at the demon's eyes.

Pyronica sighed. "We both know you're going to have to at some point. Why not now to ease the tension and make you feel better?" She suggested, caressing his head.

"What if he hurts me again?"

"Then I'll hurt him!" Pyronica laughed. They both know she wouldn't actually be able to do that but it was humorous either way.

"Do you feel better now?" She asked.

Pine-Tree looked up at her, wiping his tears away and nodded. "I-I think so..."

The woman smiled down at him. "Good to hear! But no matter how you feel, you know you're going to have to talk to Bill at some point. That dumb fairy too." She said, "The fairy, you can avoid for now, but not forever. You know that don't you?"

The boy sighed, laying his head back on her chest. "I know... but I don't want to... the humans hurt me and Bill and Ensley did too... I don't know who to trust anymore. I'm scared."

Pyronica's expression softened at his words as she continued caressing the boy's head. "Well unlike humans who will hurt you for their own entertainment and horrible joy, Bill only did that because it was the only way to get something he needed."

"What did he need that was so important?" Pine-Tree asked curiously.

"Remember how Bill was torturing that old man a few weeks ago when this started?"

The boy nodded.

"Now he finally got what he needed. Granted it wasn't the best way for him to get it, but either way he got it. He finally found the way to get the barrier down. Now he can liberate all the mortals in this dimension. In fact he's probably doing that right now. Isn't that great?!" She exclaimed happily.

Pine-Tree looked up with a soft smile. "I didn't realize it was for that, I guess that is okay!" He smiled softly.

"Well? Then let's go talk to Bill, I'm sure he'll be happy to see you again!"

The boy smiled and nodded his head.

"Great, let's go then!" Pyronica said, standing up while still holding Pine-Tree in her arms. She made her way out of the Fearamid and flew through the sky above Gravity Falls.

It was oddly quiet. Almost too quiet.

When Pine-Tree looked down at the streets below, there were no humans running around or screaming at the top of their lungs. Good! They all must be in a happier place, not being confined to the prison world they lived in. Perfect! Bill's plan must have worked, and now he's helping the other mortals in this world. Those flesh sacks should be grateful, right?

They were flying through the air for a long time. Well, it felt long for Pine-Tree but not Pyronica, when they left Gravity Falls, all that could be heard were screams, helicopters, and sirens for miles. It was like music to her ears.

"There he is!" Pyronica said.

Pine-Tree's nerves started coming to him and he instinctively hugged her tighter. She of course noticed this.

"Pine-Tree, it's okay. Trust me, you're fine." She said, hugging him tighter in response. "Believe me, you're fine."

Then...

"Pine-Tree!" Bill's voice boomed as he flew over to them, immediately grabbing Pine-Tree out of the other's arms.

He didn't want to admit it, but Pine-Tree was happy to be in Bill's presence again. There was something about being near him that screamed protection, power, and safety. But then again, this demon tortured him... without seemingly regretting it! He was mad at him! Pine-Tree deserved an apology!

The boy put his head down harshly with a pout on his face.

"What?" Bill asked.

No response.

"I see... this is about earlier isn't it?"

No response.

Bill sighed, rolling his eye. "How pathetic of you."

Pine-Tree was immediately confused and a bit more upset that he didn't get an apology.

Bill turned the boy's head to look down at a very large city, probably populated with hundreds of thousands of mortals... on fire. Demon's running around everywhere laughing while the humans ran screaming and shouting.

Mother's holding their children, families running, sirens going off and not stopping, papers flying everywhere, guns being shot off, and women protecting their husbands who are definitely screaming louder than they are.

It was utter chaos.

The boy loved it. Bill picked up on that detail. "This is why I had to hurt you. If you had fought against me, none of this would be happening and it would be all your fault."

Pine-Tree was bewildered by what he just heard... he didn't know what to think. At first he thought Bill owed him a full on apology but now- he's on the edge...

"In fact, you should be ashamed of yourself for being upset with me."

Pyronica just watched this interaction with a curious mind. Though- she knew what Bill was doing. Smart on his part, she must say.

The boy thought for a minute his face showed an expression of hurt, conflict, and confusion...

then sadness and shame...

He nodded his head in agreement with what the demon had just told him...

M-Maybe he was in the wrong... B-Bill would never hurt him on p-purpose. He should be ashamed for n-not remembering that. Bill is always right and always knows what he's doing. H-How dare he even think about q-questioning that. He's wrong. Bill is right, Bill knows everything. Yeah.

"I-I-I'm s-sorry, Bill. I'm sorry for b-being mad at y-you. I-I... I should have known b-better. Will you f-forgive me?"

"Of course I will forgive you, Sapling! Your apology will suffice." Bill said. The boy smiled, hugging the demon.

Bill booped his nose in response. He was in a very good mood. He was excited and overall happy. All his patience FINALLY paid off. Fully this time. The mortal world was his, Earth was his, humanity was his.

Plus his little Pine-Tree was his. All the demon's chains were wrapped around his neck and limbs making him a good little marionette and Bill the puppet master.

Bill will love breaking down this kid's sanity.

He could do anything he wanted and no one could stop him, no one had the courage to stop him, except one person. But he'll be dealt with soon.

Bill will make sure of it.
