Eight years later...
"Jen!" I heard someone calling my name so I looked back. There, I saw Maria walking towards me. "Congrats!" she joyfully said.
"Jeenah! Yuhoo! Congrats again, Miss Summa Cum laude!" said by Brianna.
"We have our summa cum laude friend already! No one can beat!" Amy said with her hand gestures again. I laughed to what they said.
"We got it on! Yes!" Lebis said. The one and only guy in the circle.
"Thank you so much, guys! If not because of you, I won't succeed this."
"Why you're giving the credits to us? It's all because of you!" Maria exclaimed.
"Of course, I've been a loner way back then. But because of you, guys, it changed,"
"Aw, our friend is being dramatic again!" Lebis dramatically said.
Hinampas ko siya. "Let's celebrate?" I smiled.
"Let's go!"
We went first to a fine dining restaurant and later on we'll go to our favorite club.
"Where will you going to apply now? Just in our place, please!" Brianna pleaded.
"Bri, I can't. You know my plans, right? I'll go back after graduation,"
They all look sad. "Do you really need to go home? You're already happy here, don't you?"
"Of course, I do. But you know my plans from the very beginning and you know why I entered school again," I said, smiling. They were all graduated last year because when I entered to their university they were all in their second year.
"Yeah, for him,"
"You really can't move on from him, Jen?" Lebis asked curiously.
"I can't. And I don't want to,"
"Ah, that's really love! Eight years is not a joke," Amy giggled.
Bago pa lang ang graduation ay inasikaso ko na ang mga papeles ko na kakailanganin para sa pag-uwi ko. Tinulungan din ako ni Hans kaya naman mas lalong napabilis ang pag-aasikaso ko dito. Matagal rin kasi akong hindi nakagamit ng mga 'yon dahil hindi naman ako umaalis ng Germany. I really want to go home. I really miss him.
"Jen, you're spacing out, are you really okay?" Sydney held my arms and that's the only time I broke my stares on him. I looked at her. She's beautiful... Tall... Sexy... And she's really nice. She's friendly too, huh? She looks softhearted and I think she's the type of a person who wouldn't just leave for some reason. He found someone better than me already. I felt my heart aching while looking at her. The sides of my eyes heated. I can't breathe. "Okay ka lang ba?" she stared at me worriedly. I just nodded.
I pursed my lips and tried hard to get some air. Bumitaw ako sa pagkakatingin sa kaniya at muling sinulyapan ang lalaki sa harap ko. Ang lalaking ilang taon kong hinintay na makitang muli. Ilang taon kong tiniis na hindi umuwi at hinintay ang araw na 'to. Ngayon nandito na siya sa harap ko, pero hindi na niya ko kailangan...
"Uhm, babe, I saw your friend Jen outside," Sydney walked towards to him and kissed his cheek. "She's looking for you, so sinamahan ko na siya dito," she said sweetly with a wide smile on her lips.
He just gave me a blank stares before looking back to Sydney. "Okay," he smiled at her. Shit. My heart... it's breaking again.
"C'mon, come with her, first. She looks like she came straight here from the airport," why is she so nice?
