I stayed over at Hawk's house for the week just in case he had any more nightmares. Luckily he didn't and everything was going good again. I didn't mind staying over at Hawk's because his parents made me feel at home, more than I ever felt in my own home. Most of the time we stayed either in the living room watching movies or in his room where we just cuddled for hours and ended up falling asleep. I woke up to a text from Miguel and so did Hawk in the group chat we had with me, Hawk, and Tory, and of course Miguel. It read "Since it's going to be my birthday tomorrow my mom and Abuela want to have a small get-together and she said to invite whoever I wanted so I'm going to invite you guys and that's it since I don't really care for everyone else."

"Wanna go with me to go get Miguel a present?" I asked turning over to look at Hawk.

"Yeah." We got up.

"Momma Miguel's birthday is tomorrow and he invited us over for a dinner can I go?" Hawk asked his mom.

"Are you going Madilyn?" She looked at me.

"Yeah, I am." I smiled.

"Ok, then you can go." She smiled.

"Thank you, momma." He smiled.

"I'm going to go get something for Miguel can I take Eli?" I asked.

"You don't have to ask me, I trust you two so go ahead." She laughed.

I smiled and grabbed my keys. We drove to the mall.

"What should I even get him?" I looked at Hawk as we walked in.

"I'm going to get him a new game." He took my hand.

"Miguel is hard to shop for he never says anything about what he wants." I laughed.

"Yeah, he really doesn't" He laughed.

"What's his favorite brand?" I asked.

"I think it's vans." He looked over at the store.

"I feel bad but I think I'm just going to get him a gift card to vans." We walked over to vans.

"Miguel likes anything." He laughed.

"I guess your right." I laughed.

We walked into vans and I got a gift card for $100. We were about to walk out when I spotted these vans that were all red with a black checkered pattern.

"Babe hold on." I stopped.

"What's up?" He was confused.

"Should I get these?" I walked towards the shoes.

"The red ones with the black checkered?" He questioned.

"Yeah." I grabbed the shoe

"Those are really nice." He motioned to see them.

"I know, I think I'm going to get them." I smiled.

"We could match." He smiled brightly.

"Yeah, that would be so cute." I smiled.

We grabbed our sizes and went back to the cash register. These two, please.

"Princess I can get mine don't worry about it." He grabbed the box.

"You can get dinner." I insisted.

"Are you 100%?" He questioned.

"Yes, plus I have reward points I'm pretty sure." I took the box.

"Can I see your reward card?" The cashier asked.

I handed him the card.

"You have enough to get both of the shoes free." He swiped the card.
