Chapter II
"You won't believe who's here!"
"Yeah, I won't believe and I don't even care."
She leaned on me.
"Jaime is here."
"What did you just say?"
"That hurts!" She pouted and caressed her forehead. "And as I've said, Jaime is here. He's yo---"
"Oh, shut up." Tinaliman ko siya ng tingin. "Where exactly is he?"
Nilingon niya ang bar stool. "There."
"I want to slap you, Plum," I said in gritted teeth. "What the hell is he doing here?" He should be in the Philippines or anywhere in Europe.
"Cover me."
"Aw, Tatiana!" ngiwi niya. "You're torturing me."
"Aw, Plum!" panggagaya ko. "You're overreacting." I glared at her. "And don't you dare say my name again. He might hear you. Now, cover me up."
He's that stupid.
I pressed the button on my earpiece and heard their conversation.
"Plum Roche, right?" Jaime said with his kind smile. "You're Tatiana Rae's friend."
I rolled my eyes. I don't have friends. I don't prefer one. She insisted but I always declined.
"Yes." She smiled. "Why? And may I know who you are?"
Lihim akong natawa. She's really a great pretender.
"I'm Jaime. Where is Tatiana? I saw her earlier. She came here inside."
"Didn't you see her? She went out. Maybe going home. She's kinda tired."
"Jaime is hot and gorgeous man," ngisi ni Plum nang muli akong tumabi sa kaniya. "Hindi mo type?"
"I don't want another stupid human in my life."
"Yeah, right. You can see through nga pala."
"I'll call you tomorrow before 3 a.m."
"Sure.
"No, thanks.
"Don't worry, Tatiana. I always got your back. Especially on your covert mission."
"Don't assume that we're friends."
