We laid there in silence for a couple minutes, then I heard Raven starting humming. The warmth in her voice actually surprised me as she had a motherly tone for once. I smiled listening to her sing that soft melody that 1sounded like a forgotten viking tale. And slowly, I fell asleep while remembering those warm mornings where me and my grandma woke up at 4 am to look at the sun rise. It was before everything bad. It was when the worst thing happening, was a 6 year old drinking a cup of coffee while looking at the sky.

The next morning, Raven woke me up around 8 in the morning with pancakes. She brought it next to me in bed and sat down besides me. She looked at me and smiled without saying anything.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yeah, I am." She smiled softly at me again as her phone started ringing. She picked it up and gave me a look that said to be quiet.

"Hey..." a male voice said.

"Hey, Rick, how are you?" Raven asked the man who was supposedly called Rick.

"I'm good, I'm good. I was wondering if you would like to go to my party on Saturday, it's in two weeks." My eyes grew wide as I heard the word "party", but Raven gave me a reassuring look, making my nerves calm down a little bit.

"Will King be there?" With the look in her face, I could tell that the answer to that question would be the tie-breaker to know if we'll go or not.

"No one has heard of him for a while, now... everyone is wondering where he went."

"Good, you don't need to know." Raven answered quickly leaving an awkward silence between them.

"Huh, okay... well, will you come?" Rick asked.

"Yeah, I'll be there, it starts at 7?"

"Yeah, as always. Have a good day, Raven." He sounded friendly with Raven, but at the same time, you could hear how terrified he was of her.

"Yeah, have a good day, too, Rick..." Raven hung up the phone and didn't wait to reassure me.

"I know that last time you went to a party it was bad, but it wont happen again, I promise." I didn't believe her, and she knew it.

"Bee, look at me." I looked up at her with worry painted all over my face as she grabbed my face softly and brought me to her chest.

"I wont let anyone touch you, Bee... you're mine and no one gets to touch what's mine."

"But... I was yours before, too..." I hesitated so much on saying that, so it came out really quiet.

"Yeah, and I was dumb and abusive. Listen to me, okay? If anything happens to you, I will rip off everyone's head until I'm sure no one can even THINK of touching you, do you understand?" She said holding my chin so I was looking at her.

"Yeah... I understand. Will-" I hesitated again, "will you stay by my side at all time?"

"I'm not letting you out of my sight even for a second." Raven really sounded serious, so I pushed my worries aside for the moment, even if they were still lingering in the back of my mind.

I started eating, but soon, I realized that the pancakes were not making me full at all, it almost felt like I didn't eat a thing. I looked at Raven confused and she just smiled softly.
