I took her face in the palm of my hand and as I felt the last drop of life leave my body, I set an intention, a spell. I put all of my power into our next generation. I felt power course through my veins only to stop once everything had reached my heart and when it stopped beating... the most powerful curse was born.

When the vision stopped, I dropped to the floor, completely drained out of all my energy, but at the same time, I felt more powerful than ever. I was panting, trying to catch my breath, but I could feel this new power coursing through me.

It felt warm and almost explosive. Like this thing was building up inside of me, like it was getting use to its new vessel.

I was brought back to reality when Raven shook my shoulder.

"Bee? Are you okay?" I turned around slowly, looking up at her, only to meet her concerned and almost traumatized expression.

"What?" I knew that I had just went through something weird and I was acting strangely, but her expression was showing that there was more to it than I thought.

"What happened to your eyes?" Raven asked, examining me.

"What? What do you mean?" I looked around to try and find a mirror or a piece of one.

I got to the "bathroom" to find one and once I did, I slowly brought the mirror to my level, trembling and unsure of what I would see in its reflection.

My eyes were purple. A glowing purple with sparks of blue and violet in them. This felt unreal. It was like vampires, my sclera was completely covered, not a single spot was white, but they weren't black like I was expecting them to be. They were fucking purple.

Don't get me wrong, I do find the colour beautiful, but I had no idea what this meant. And what about people? They would notice I'm different, maybe they'll even want to kill me because of it... I didn't quite know what to think yet.

"What the fuck? What does this mean, Raven?" I turned around to look at her, noticing she clearly had no idea, too. Which was bad... if a thousand year old vampire doesn't know what *this* is, then who would?

"Did you look at everything you wanted to? We need to go..." she was clearly concerned, so I picked up the big magical book and we headed back to the car.

Once in, we got back on the road, to meet with Loki.

"Did you know?" Raven asked me, clenching her jaw.

"I didn't... I never even knew my aunts or uncles or any of my family really. Except my parents and grandma..." I was wondering if the fact that I was related to Elizabeth would affect my relationship with Raven. I really had no idea if she would hate me or if she would appreciate me more because of it.

"That book," Raven paused and looked at it sitting in my lap, "what happened for you to look up at the sky and then turn... purple?"

"I read a letter in it... I think it was a spell, but I'm not sure, I don't know how those things work."

"A spell?" She looked confused, then I remembered that in the letter it was written that it was kept a family secret, so Raven has no idea what Elizabeth really was.

"Elizabeth..." I paused, analyzing Raven at the mention of her old lover, "she was a witch."

"What? What the hell do you mean? She never did anything... if she really were a witch, she would've saved herself when King stabbed her." I was feeling trapped. I knew Raven wouldn't want to accept it, but how could I explain to her that I lived Elizabeth's death? It sounds crazy.

"I- I don't know how to explain it to you..." I was looking down at my thighs, trying to hold back tears as I remembered the vision I had. The feeling of terror and peace mixed together, the way Raven looked at Elizabeth as she died... everything was just so much.

I felt Raven look at me and soon enough, she reached out to grab my chin to make me look at her. My gaze met hers, but I was feeling so many emotions and I couldn't stare at the face that I saw completely broken, so I took her arm and pushed it away slowly.

As my skin met hers, I felt an urge of power flow through me and Raven slammed the breaks down, looking dazed and staring off into the distance.

I wasn't seeing anything, but I could tell that Raven was. I broke our contact after a few seconds and stared at her, unsure of what had just happened.

A tear fell down her cheek as she turned her head to look at me.

"What- what was that?" She looked numb and broken at the same time. I could tell she didn't know what to feel or how to react.

"What did you see?"

"Liz... she died again." Another tear fell down when those words came out of her mouth.

"You saw her death... how she felt and how she saw you at that moment, at least that's what I saw back at my old house." It's really the only thing I could explain, everything else that was happening, why it was happening, I didn't know anything about that... well I knew why, but I didn't understand it.

"How did you do that?" Raven was afraid. I could hear her heart beat a little bit faster than normal and her furrowed brows showed it even further.

"I don't know... I just touched you. I didn't even know I could do anything like that."

"So she really was a witch?" She was clearly deep in her thoughts, because she kept staring at the same place.

"Yeah, I'm pretty sure she was..."

"Okay..." Raven looked into the distance and started the car again, "Loki may have answers, and I'm gonna look at that book when we get there..."

"What do you think this means?" I asked her.

"I don't know yet, but we'll find out." She sounded determined now, and I knew she wouldn't back out until we got answers.
