Chapter 3: Hope and Despair Mixed (Class Trial Part 1)

"Now, let's-" Monokuma was about to explain the rules but he was only cut off.

"Yeah, yeah. We get it." Ryuko was the one who did.

"Before we start, I have a question." Everyone turned to Kou.

"What is it?" I asked.

"If the lights came back on around 12, how did the killer get both of them in 5 minutes?

Everyone was just as confused. Killing two people in 5 minutes would be next to impossible. You'd have to be real quick to do that and it may or may not sound wrong but it would be impressive.

Non-Stop Debate

"How did the killer get them both so quickly?" Kou asked again.

"Maybe they had super speed!" Usagi was a little on track.

"Nobody has super speed." Ryuko corrected.

"You think Inuyasha did it? He's pretty quick." Kanao pondered.

"How is it me?! Didn't you guys know that I gave everyone an alibi? Be happy!" Inuyasha hissed back.

"You think they killed in the dark?" Kanao was smart.

"I agree with that." I shut everyone up real quick.

Truth Bullet Used: Blackout

"Kanao is probably right. The killer could've gotten them in the dark." I noticed Kanao did a small smile, meaning that she also agreed.

"Does that mean the person who stayed behind was the killer?" Ren asked me as I nodded.

"Yeah probably."

"Ok so let's say the person who stayed behind was the killer. If you and Usagi were in the kitchen, how did you not hear them?"

"By the way, what were you guys doing in the kitchen?" Tamaki turned to me.

"I was hit with a pan." I bluntly said.

"..."

"Moving on, maybe the killer silenced everything." Ryuko got us back on track.

"I think I know what silences everything." I said.

"Huh? What was it then?"

"Usagi. She kept screaming so she was probably blocking out most of the noise."

"Come on! I'm scared of the dark, you jerk!" She shot to me.

"Isn't the killer Bakugo though? How would he keep his explosions silent?" Tamaki set off Bakugo real quick.

"HOW THE HELL IS THE KILLER ME?!" He yelled this so loudly that I thought I would die of my eardrums exploding.

"There's proof, obviously." Tamaki was right. There was proof.

Non-Stop Debate

"How the FUCK IS THE KILLER ME?!" Bakugo yelled again.

"I mean it is a possibility." Ren added.

"Bakugo is definitely the killer!" Tamaki proudly said.

"I sorta don't think it's Bakugo..." Ryuko muttered like she didn't want anyone else to hear.

"THERE'S NO PROOF IT'S ME!" There was a lot of proof but I'll just start off.

"Wait, that's wrong." He looked at me like I was crazy as I said this.

Truth Bullet Used: Ash

"Around Violet's body, there was ash around it. This could mean that you used your explosion on her."

"Then I guess the killer is Bakugo." Ryuko shrugged.

"That was easy. Let's vote now then." Kou and a few others nodded.

"This was an easy case. Let's-"

"Sorry Trunks." This time...Kanao cut me off?

"We can't vote yet." Ren joined in.

"Huh? What's wrong guys?" I asked them a little confused.

"Bakugo isn't the killer. Sorry." Ren said it in a way where it was nice and harsh.

"But it's obvious that he is." Usagi crossed her arms.

"If he was the killer, how could he have silenced his explosions? We've already seen that they were loud." Kanao made a good point and I sorta just looked like an idiot.

"I guess you're right then. Sorry..." I mumbled.

"No worries." Ren said politely.

"So I guess the killer isn't Bakugo-"

"Oh, shut up!" How many more times is Inuyasha gonna interrupt me?

"What is it now?" My patience was on thin ice.

"The killer is Bakugo! Let's vote him now!" He yelled to me.

"It's not Bakugo, Inuyasha. Ca-"

"Shut up unless it's important!"

Rebuttal Showdown

"The killer is Bakugo! It's so obvious right now! Let's vote him or we're all dead! Can't you see it's him?! Come on, you idiot! Don't tell me you're the killer!"

"Calm down for a second. It can't be Bakugo. If it was, his explosion would've been heard by everyone."

"Be quiet, bad haircut! You don't know what you're talking about! You're so dumb, you know that?! Did something else cause the burns?" Hopefully Inuyasha was done.

"I'll cut through that statement." I finally stopped him. Jeez, he doesn't give up.

Truth Blade Used: Candle

"Are you done talking?" I sighed.

"What's you stop me for?"

"By Violet's body, there was a candle. If you lit that candle and put it on your skin, it would cause a burn." I watched as Inuyasha looked away. Seemed like he was finished talking.

"Can we go back to Shantae's body?" Kanao said as I nodded.

"Yeah sure."

"If she was stabbed, how was she silenced?"

"Maybe she...uh..." I heard Usagi try to think of something.

"Isn't she a half genie? You think the killer asked for their wish to be for her not to feel pain?" Tamaki did have a good idea as I nodded.

"Maybe. Pretty smart."

It feels like we were inching closer and closer towards the killer. And I guess I did have hope that we would get through this. Soon, everything will be over.

"Monokuma, I have a question." Ren looked to the bear as he was waking up.

"Zzzzz...huh? What is it?"

"Is it possible for there to be two killers?"

"Yep! Although, cases would take longer that way."

"And about the announcement. Do the killers count as one of the 3 people?"

"Yep!"

"This makes it easier." I muttered.

"Hm?" Ren looked to me.

"There was some figure that was running away when me and Usagi came out. They must've counted as one of the 3."

"So that breaks down the case mode." A relived Ryuko sighed.

"They must've been running away after they hit Violet with the chair and killed her." I didn't want to believe it. But I was kinda forced to.

"Tamaki....we never said anything about the chair being Violet's cause of death."
