Chapter 6: Loading... (Part 6)

We all froze. Nobody said a word or even made a movement. Maybe I just heard that wrong? We...got it wrong? We were incorrect?

"Ah, I see. You're fucking with our heads because your dumbass can't admit defeat, huh?" Bakugo said in a cocky voice.

"You guys heard me right. The masterminds aren't Ray and Midari." He repeated.

"Then who the hell are the real masterminds?!" I had finally snapped.

"Well-"

"We all went through this hell for so long! Seeing everyone get killed and all 4 of us had to go through that up until now! You're saying that everything until now was for nothing at all! Who are the real masterminds?! I'm done with this crap!"

"Trunks is right! None of us like seeing all of our friends dying! Either you reveal yourself or I'll get your dumb build-a-bear reject ass and throw you into next week!" Ryuko joined in.

"Guys! Be quiet." Inuyasha shut both of us up as I watched him go by Monokuma's throne seat.

"What the hell? What are you doing?" Bakugo asked as Inuyasha grinned.

"I'm so sorry guys."

"I guess I should reveal myself, too. But it's sad I was almost thrown under the bus." Monokuma said as he disappeared.

"Inuyasha, what was he talking about?" I turned to him as I heard another laugh.

"I'm so sorry. So, so, so sorry!" I heard the voice...apologize? What?

"Who the fuck is there?! Come out, you bastard!" Bakugo yelled.

"Me! The mastermind! And let's pretend I added an evil laugh with it!" The person appeared next to Inuyasha...and they had a Pichu on their shoulder.

"Leaf...?" I muttered.

"Yeah! It's me! You guys thought I was dead, right?" She put her hands on her hips as the Pichu mirrored her.

"If we're both masterminds, what else does it make us?" Inuyasha asked me as I had to think.

Non-Stop Debate

"Inuyasha and I are both masterminds, right?" Leaf asked as if it wasn't obvious.

"That's a lie! You guys aren't masterminds!" Ryuko objected.

"Just answer the question! If we're both masterminds, what else does it make us?" Inuyasha asked the same question.

"I dunno. Fucking idiots?" Bakugo sarcastically answered.

"I know two of you remember what you read."  Leaf...you really had to make me...

"I agree with that."

Truth Bullet Used: Newspapers

"Ryuko and I found some newspapers on Junko Enoshima. There was a part that said she had a successor...so.."

"Yeah! After Inuyasha and I broke the laws of time and created a portal to come here, we both learned about her!" Leaf said, basically confirming I was right.

"Meaning we were both here before anyone else came. And we both took the role as her successor." Inuyasha finished what Leaf would probably say.

"Bullshit! Neither of you are the masterminds!" Bakugo snapped to the both of them.

"Oh wow. I wonder what this is?" Inuyasha took out a book and it was the one on Project Universe.

"Does that mean..." I started.

"I wrote the book, you idiot. The names were Inuyasha and Leaf. But I couldn't let you guys find out, could I?" He finished my sentence as he smirked.

"We're really smart? And you probably wanna know why Midari was quiet, huh?" Leaf spoke up.

"Why is that? You wanted everyone killed, you dumb bitch." Bakugo answered as she shook her head.

"It's because we told her so."

"What? Why? How?" Ryuko asked as Inuyasha started talking.

"We told her to be quiet because obviously, you'd be suspicious of someone who doesn't say a word and just randomly dies."

"She was the Ultimate Gambler but with some manipulation, she became another victim of despair." Leaf finished for him.

"Why did you guys do this?" I asked as the two of them went silent.

"That's not the point."

"We also pretended to kill off Leaf because it gave off despair and again, you guys wouldn't even know she was a mastermind since you all watched her fake death." Inuyasha continued on.

"You son of a bitch! I'll fucking kill you!" Bakugo threatened.

"No! You can't kill us! That's not how it works!" Leaf huffed as she went up to Bakugo.

"What the hell are you gonna do?" He said has he raised his hand, about to make an explosion.

"I could've gone all out but I'll use this as an example." I watched as she pulled out a sharp knife and held it up to his throat.

"Hey! Leaf! What're you doing?" Ryuko said, going near her but stopping.

"I have to do this. In the name of despair, of course!" She laughed as I watched her sink the knife all the way through his throat before cutting off his head. Bakugo's head fell to the ground along with his lifeless body.

"Wha..." I sputtered out.

"Sad. But he was an ass." Inuyasha kicked his head away.

"What the hell?! Why'd you kill Bakugo!?" Ryuko finally reacted.

"He was annoying me. Besides, you guys will meet your end, too." Leaf responded, throwing the knife.

"Leaf, Inuyasha, why are you doing this?!" I yelled to them.

"Because they can't stop us." He answered.

"Who's they even? Who are you talking about?" Ryuko said.

"The Future Foundation, of course." Inuyasha answered for her.

"Since we both came here before you guys, we both heard about them. The book Inuyasha found about the survivors are them. They work there and they haven't stopped us yet." Leaf said.

"And they're supposed to be about hope and junk and they have yet to stop us."

"Wait. That means you guys know where the lab is, right?" Ryuko realized that and soon I did.

"Mhm. That's where the portal is. And that's where the exit out of this universe is."

"Then why aren't you letting us out? Why can't we leave already?!" I yelled.

"I guess I should've finished that page, huh?" He sighed.

"What page?"

"The page you and Ryuko were reading."

"I remember. It said that soon, everything would break or something along the lines of that." Ryuko spoke up and I was glad she had a good memory.

"You're right! You're right!" Leaf exclaimed, going over to hug her but Ryuko pushed her back.

"What did it mean?" I asked.

"Since none of us are supposed to be in this universe, every second that we're here is breaking it. If we're here for any longer, this universe will crumble and all of us will fall with it."
