Astons P.O.V.

Two days later and I finally got a call off the hospital telling me that Luce was finally waking up. I decided against calling my mum to come and collect the twins and chose to take them with me seeing as Luce's waking up. I was already awake with the girls when the hospital called me so I changed them and wrapped them up before putting them in their car seats. Once I'd locked the front door and fastened the girls' car seats in, I made my way to the hospital.

Sophia and Ava were fast asleep by the time we got there so I carefully put them into the pram so that I didn't wake them. Walking into the hospital and Luce's room, I was stopped by a doctor waiting outside of her room.

"What's going on?" I asked, reaching down and moving Ava's hat from over her eyes.

"What's your name sir?"

"Aston Merrygold, she's my wife. What's going on?"

"Your wife's awake sir, she requested that she wanted to see you first out of everyone." The doctor told me before opening the door wide enough so that I could push the pram into the room.

"I've been so worried about you." I said, putting the brakes on the pram before leaning over the bed and pressing the biggest kiss against Luce's lips.

"How are the girls? Are they okay?" Luce asked quietly as I pulled away.

"They're perfect, but what about you? Are you okay?"

"I'm sore and my head absolutely kills but other than that I'm fine." She smiled weakly.

"How'd this even happen to you? I told you not to start anything!" I sighed, pulling a chair up and sitting beside her and taking her hand.

"I didn't! Michele started it, she told everyone in the office that you made the first move and then said she'd take you and the kids away from me, I just snapped."

"Babe you didn't have to, you know she has no chance in hell of getting me and the girls, she was trying to get to you."

"Well it worked and it's happened so can you drop it now?" Luce sighed, rolling her eyes.

"No, I can't. Luce you're lying here black and blue, you've been knocked out for the last three days!" I said as Luce gave me a 'shut up' look.

"I'm not mad at you," I sighed. "I'm just annoyed that this happened to you, out of all people."

"Ast, babe I'm fine now okay?"

"I know, it's just hard seeing you like this again." I said, bringing Luce's hand up to my lips.

"I love you." She giggled as I used my other hand to gently run it over her hair.

"I love you." I smiled, leaning forwards and pressing my lips against hers.

"Can I see the girls now?"

"Sure, but they were asleep when I-Nope, someone likes being nosey." I chuckled as I stood up and spotted Ava wide awake.

"Ava?" Luce asked as I scooped Ava up in my arms.

"Yep, exactly like her Mummy, too nosey for her own good." I smiled, passing Ava over to her after she'd managed to sit up.

"Hey!" Luce giggled before pressing a kiss against Ava's head. "I've missed you so much..How'd you manage with them?"

"How'd I manage? I'm their Dad babe," I laughed as she frowned at me. "It was a little bit difficult I'm not gonna lie, they decided to do everything at the same time so I had to do two things at once."

"That's why women are better, we can multitask, can't we baby?" Luce smiled, shaking Ava's hand as she looked down at her with that motherly look she always has. The look thats always gonna melt my heart.

"She nearly said 'Mama' yesterday." I told Luce as her head shot up.

"What? Already?" She asked, trying to wipe the huge smug smile off her face. We'd had a bet when the girls were about four months old on what their first words were gonna be. Luce was adamant Ava's was gonna be Mummy and I was positive that Soph's was gonna be Daddy.

"Yeah, I can get 'Ma' out of her but that's about it." I shrugged before she grinned back down at Ava.

"Someone's a clever girl," She smiled before kissing Ava's forehead. "What about Sophia?"

"She's still babbling but she'll get there." I said as I looked over at Soph in the pram, her arms above her head with her mouth half open, making sure that the dummy was still in there or all hell would break loose.
