My birthday was one of the best yet. After my birthday meal we met my girls and a few of Astons friends that I'd gotten to know through Aston, obviously, but the majority of them were the ones that were in St. Lucia with us, and we headed off to a well known club in the middle of London.
I was at work for the next two weeks, and so was Aston, but Paris came around sooner than we thought and before we knew it we were on the plane heading into one of the most beautiful countries in the world. Our first night was spent in a gorgeous restaurant with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance.
I can't say that the whole trip was innocent because we spent the majority, well, every night, under the sheets, showing each other just how much we love one another.
But the rest of the trip was amazing. We walked around the streets hand in hand, taking in all the sights, snapping pictures along the way, tasting all of the French foods we could find, not forgetting our little visit to the Eiffel Tower with the astounding view. And I might have dragged Aston into a few of the designer shops, but he didn't mind once he'd picked up something for himself.
Just as we were leaving Paris they were setting up for Paris fashion week, Aston had to literally drag me away to the airport. I really wanted to stay and watch at least one of the shows, but Aston reminded me that we both had work to do so we couldn't stay, but promised that we'd come back during one of the fashion weeks at some point.
"I miss Paris." I sighed, pushing my food around my plate as I rested my chin on my other hand.
Right now we were sat in Astons dining room, which was beautifully set out with a gorgeous tablecloth, fancy place settings with a candle and a rose in the middle. An overwhelming surprise after a rough busy day at work, but nevertheless it meant a lot.
"Cheers." Aston scoffed before bringing his wine glass up to his lips and taking a sip.
"No no no, I didn't mean it like that," i stammered as he put his glass down and shrugged at me.
"Come on Ast, you know I didn't mean it that way," I sighed, reaching my hand across the table to rest on his, giving it a quick squeeze.
"I just miss waking up to see the Eiffel Tower through our window, the smell of the fresh bread as we walked past the bakery, that damn bird that was always outside our window," I chuckled slightly, shaking my head as Aston looked back at me intently. "I just miss it. I miss that life, you know?"
"Yeah, I know," He smiled softly, slowly linking our fingers together. "And maybe someday that will be our life."
"Really?" I asked, putting my fork down as a smile crept upon my face.
"Yeah," He shrugged. "We could buy a nice little house in that village we saw, or we could buy an apartment that overlooks Paris. We could spend every Sunday morning just laying in bed, eating croissants that you would've made me go out to get as soon as I woke up no doubt, you might even get lucky and I'll bring you a coffee up too...Then we can just lay there together, talking about whatever, looking at the gorgeous view outside our window and not have to worry about being at a certain place at a certain time."
"You've really thought about this, haven't you?" I asked as I bit my lip, Aston nodding away at me gently.
"Our future? All the time. But I started thinking about the Paris thing about the second day we were out there."
"What other things do you think about?" I smiled as he pulled at my hand, forcing me to get up as he pulled me onto his lap where he proceeded to wrap his arms around my waist.
"Just little things, like where we'll live, where we'll get married, how many kids we're gonna have, all the places we can visit." He shrugged as I hung my arms over his shoulders.
"I had no idea," I grinned before he leaned forwards and pressed his lips against mine slowly. "So tell me everything."
"Now?"
"Why not?" I frowned as he bit his lip.
"Well..we've not finished eating for a start."
"We can always heat it up," I shrugged as he sighed. "Why won't you tell me?"
"I don't wanna scare you away!" He admitted as my face softened. "I love you, and I don't wanna lose you."
"I love you too, and telling me this isn't going to make me leave you," I giggled as he lifted his head back up. "If anything, it'll probably make me love you even more."
"Okay," He sighed before kissing me once more.
"Well first we'd buy a house together, I mean my house is fine and so's yours but I'd rather have something that's ours. And we could get one that's just on the outskirts, not too busy but not too quiet," He started as I smiled back at him, letting my fingers trail up and down the back of his neck gently.
"Then once we'd bought our house we'd get married in a nice little church not far from my mums house, but obviously if you don't like it then we can go somewhere else..After we were married we'd start trying for a baby, our own little monster," He smiled as his thumb grazed my waist.
"The first would be a little boy, a cheeky little rascal who's a total Mummy's boy and has an amazing knack for football," I tightened my grip around Astons shoulders, if that was even possible, and pressed a kiss against his temple gently as he continued.
"Then we'd try again for another baby when our boy's about two but this time we'd have a baby girl, a little sister for the little rascal. Sure, they might not get along at first but as soon as they get older, he'll be knocking the living daylight out of any guy that upsets her in the slightest, so that way I don't have too," Aston was totally in his own little dream world right now, he wasn't even looking at me, he was just staring into thin air, making weird facial expressions as he told me all of this.
"And we could get a swing set for in the garden, maybe even a goal so he can practice his football at home too. Then every so often I'd get roped into having a game with him, our little girl tries joining in because she feels left out but once you say you're making cakes she's off into the kitchen."
I sat there grinning away as Aston continued to think out loud about our future, he wasn't even telling me anymore, he was just rambling with the odd smile here and there. Just seeing how happy he was talking about all of this and knowing how much he's thought about our future, made me realise that this might actually be the real thing. Aston might be the one.
"You," I grinned, locking my hands together behind Astons head. "Are absolutely amazing."
"I-"
"And I was right," I smiled as he frowned at me. "I do love you even more."
"I love you too." He chuckled before leaning up and capturing my lips with his own.
