"ASTTT! These are in the wrong room!" I called as I tried to push it out of the way.
We were in the middle of unpacking. That's right, we'd finally found a place of our own. Although it did take us four months to find it and another month to get it ready and move all our boxes in.
It was a lovely four bedroomed house, with Astons gym in the basement of course. The kitchen and dining room where joined together and I'm not exaggerating when I say that it's huge! Like, there's an island in the middle of the kitchen, it's great! Our living room was huge too so there was enough room for an L shaped sofa and Astons big screen TV. Aston knew how much I loved the chill room at his old place so he sneakily had one designed for us in our new home and I think it was even better. It was a bit bigger than the last one but it was 10x more cosy! The conservatory at the back of the house wasn't too big but it wasn't too small, it just made the back room look bigger. Our garden went on forever, literally. We had so much land and Aston loved it as he didn't have much at his old house and he was gutted when he told Max and Riley that they couldn't go out to play football, but now he was excited that he could get football bets and everything for them.
Our bedroom was twice as big, bigger than mine and Astons old bedrooms put together. The en suite was beautiful, it had a circle bath towards the back, and a shower big enough for two. But me and Ast fell in love with the house as soon as we stepped foot inside it.
"What's in the wrong room?!" Aston shouted up the stairs as I was in our bedroom.
"The stuff for the kids, I can't carry it!"
"Coming!"
I'd had my cast off my arm now, obviously, and I was so grateful! I could finally do things for myself and be back to normal again. But this box was insanely heavy and there's no way I could lift it by myself.
Aston came up the stairs and moved the box into the kids room as I followed suit, planning on unpacking that box next; our room was already done as we made sure it was the first room that was ready so that we could sleep.
"Can't you leave this til tomorrow?" Aston asked as he sat on one of the boys' beds.
Instead of buying four single beds, we just bought two double beds so the kids would have to top and tail or whatever. We hadn't split the room down the middle or anything, we'd just decided it'd be easier if they chose where they want everything.
"You know I can't, they're staying over on Friday." I sighed, making up the other bed.
"Exactly," He moaned, tugging at his shirt that I was wearing. "You can just do this tomorrow, they're only coming in two days."
"Yeah but tomorrow I'm sorting out the kitchen and my other room."
"I just want a day off from this." He sighed, throwing himself back onto the bed.
"We're moving house, it's not going to be easy."
"I didn't think it'd take this long."
"Well how long did it take for you to move last time?"
"I dunno, I hired some guys to do it for me."
"Ast!" I giggled, putting the final pillows on the bed.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"That's so bad! Why didn't you do it yourself?"
"I think this is a pretty good reason."
I rolled my eyes at him before shoving him off the other bed so that I could make it up. It wasn't as bad as he's making it out to be, once I've finished with the beds all I have to do is put the curtains up and set their toys out. He's just being a whiny bugger because he's been sorting out the living room all day.
The kids room was finished about half an hour later and as soon as I was finished Aston dragged me into our bedroom so we could just chill out for a bit. Now we would've normally done this in our chill room but it's not fully furnished yet and I didn't want to see it until it was done.
"Can we have a housewarming party?" Aston wondered as he ran his fingers over my hair whilst I laid my head on his lap.
"I don't see why not," I replied, fighting to keep my eyes open as I was exhausted from unpacking and Astons soothing technique was sending me to sleep. "Just wait til the house is finished."
"Go to sleep if you want Luce." He chuckled lightly, squirming a little bit to make himself more comfortable.
"You sure?"
"Course, I'll find something to watch."
"I'll stay up if you want me to."
"You're no good to me half asleep baby," He laughed as I pinched his knee. "I'll be fine on my own, get some sleep."
