It'd been an hour and we'd spoken about three words to each other. Apart from when he told me how and when. Turns out Adrianne was at the studios two weeks ago on a trial for something, I don't really care what it was, apparently they got to talking and they just kissed. No her forcing herself on him or him pushing her away. They just kissed.
I'd moved off into the kitchen, sitting at the table while Aston sat on the counter, not moving his eyes from me once. I had so many questions that I wanted to ask but I couldn't find my voice to do it, I was too scared of his answers.
"Luce?...Babe come on..Please talk to me." Aston said after heaving a huge sigh. I didn't say anything, I didn't even look at him. I just stared at my hands.
"Look I was an idiot okay?" He continued, jumping off the counter and coming over to the table, sitting across from me. "I never meant to hurt you."
"Well you have." I replied quietly after clearing my throat.
"Luce I love you, I'd never ever hurt you on purpose..Please just talk to me."
"Do you really love me?" I asked, eventually looking at him.
"What? Of course I do, I love you more than anything."
"Do you love her?" I asked before Aston took my hands and looked straight into my eyes.
"Not one bit. I used to, but that was a long long time ago, way before I met you."
"But you used to," I said, shaking my hands away from his. "You obviously still have feelings for her."
"I don't! Not in the slightest. I'd be more than happy if I never see her again." He said as he took my hands again.
"Did you just get bored of me?"
"Bored of-? No! I could never get bored of you, Luce I love you so much-"
"Then why did you kiss her?! Why did you forget about me?"
"I've told you, I can't answer that. I honestly don't know why I kissed her. It just happened, I didn't have time to think about it."
"You can deny it all you want, but you've still got feelings for her somewhere." I sighed, shaking off his hands and heading for the door.
"Where are you going?!"
"To bed, I've had enough." I sighed, pushing the door open and going upstairs.
I changed into my pyjamas and did my nightly routine before climbing into bed, forcing the tears to stay where they are, there's no way I'm crying in front of him, no matter how much he hurt me. The only thing that was making this the slightest bit better was the fact that he didn't sleep with her.
"Lucy, babe can we please sort this out?" Aston asked as he strolled into our bedroom, but when he called me Lucy again that's when something clicked.
"Is this why you've been so distant with me? Why you've not kissed me? Not spent time with me?" I asked as I sat up against the headboard, watching him as he hung up his jacket in the wardrobe.
"I wasn't with her when I wasn't with you, don't think that," He said, shrugging himself out of his clothes pretty quickly. "I guess I just felt guilty every time I was around you."
"Then why didn't you tell me as soon as it happened? Instead of standing me up and going to a fucking strip club! Do you have any idea how that makes me feel?"
"Like shit probably." He sighed, throwing an old shirt on along with his joggers.
"Exactly. How would you feel if I kissed Andy and then stood you up to go to a strip club?"
"Well," He smirked, clearly thinking I meant a female strip club.
"Really? You think it's the right time for that now?" I asked, folding my arms and raising an eyebrow at him.
"No," He sighed, climbing into bed next to me. "Babe you know I'd be heartbroken you kissed Andy."
"Now you know how I feel."
"Which is why I want to sort this out. I don't want you to feel like this because of something that I've done." He explained, lifting the duvet up to rest just below his waist.
"Not now, we'll talk tomorrow." I yawned, shuffling down the bed and wrapping myself in the duvet.
"Luce I don't want you going to sleep upset."
"Too late." I mumbled, closing my eyes and struggling to go to sleep, the image of Aston and Adrianne all over my mind.
