"So what happened?" Aston asked down the phone.
I was stuck in that meeting for the last half an hour while Mark gave me all the details about Paris fashion week. Of course I agreed to it, it's Paris! And it's not like I'm living there, I'll be coming home. It's the same as if it was New York's fashion week, I'd take it in a heartbeat.
"I'm definitely not fired." I smiled, tapping my pen on the table.
"I knew that," Aston said with an obvious tone. "What was it all about?"
"You know last year when we left Paris and they were setting up for fashion week?"
"Yeah, babe you're not getting at what I think you're getting at, are you?"
"I think so." I grinned.
"They want you in their fashion week?!"
"Maybe." I smiled, biting down on my bottom lip to stop myself from grinning like a Cheshire Cat.
"Babe! Oh I'm so proud of you!"
"Thanks Ast."
"I'm gonna let you get back to work but you need to tell me everything when you come home."
"Yeah, sure." I laughed nervously.
"I'll even cook, how about that?" He asked with a hint of laughter to his voice.
"Finally!" I giggled as there was a knock on my door.
"Count yourself lucky..Right babe, I love you and I'll see you when you get home."
"Love you too, see you later."
The rest of the day was mad busy. Not only did I have loads of prep to do for the fashion show, but I had near enough every one of my colleagues coming into my office to congratulate me and have a chat, and then the phone wouldn't stop ringing because magazines/press wanted interviews and comments or whatever. I was slightly envious of Aston who was sat at home having one of his many days off as he was coming towards the end of the month and half that he and the band had been given off after all the studio time and promotion they'd been doing for their last single.
So when I finally got to leave my office at five o'clock, I was more than happy to leave all my work behind for the night; there was no way I was doing any more work tonight. I was in such a good mood that not even the torrential rain could bring me down. The roads were horrendous and I was slightly freaked out about driving in it since my crash but I had to get on with it, just take my time and be careful.
Once I arrived home, I ran to the front door to get out of the rain as soon as possible. I took off my coat once I was inside and hung it up on the rack, kicking my shoes off to let them dry before I took them upstairs as to not dirty our carpet.
"Ast?!" I called out as I left my bag on the living room couch.
"Upstairs! I'll be down in a minute!" I heard him faintly call back.
In dire need of a drink I made my way into the kitchen, only to be surprised with the table, in the adjoined dining room, being all set up for a lovely meal. The cutlery were all placed out along with two wine glasses and two candles in the middle of the table. On one of the place settings was a box, intrigued I walked over to the table and noticed that the box had 'Pandora' written on it with a note underneath which read,
'Well done baby! I knew you'd make it! x'
I smiled as I picked up the box, and as I opened it I was in total shock. Inside was a silver charm bracelet with two charms already attached to it. I lifted the bracelet out of the box to take a closer look at the charms. Placing the box back down on the table I saw that one of the charms was of the Eiffel Tower and the second charm had 'I love you' written on it. It was a little bit cheesy, but totally sweet.
"So you found it then?" I spun my head around to the voice that I recognised all too well.
"Yeah, Ast it's gorgeous!" I smiled as I looked down at the bracelet again.
"Do you like it?" Aston asked as he approached me by the table.
"I love it, it's really thoughtful, thank you." I smiled before I leant up on my tiptoes to kiss him quickly.
"Can I?" He asked, holding his hand out for the bracelet. I nodded my head as he unclipped and fastened the bracelet around my waist.
"Congratulations baby," He grinned as he wrapped his arms around my waist before pressing a passionate kiss against my lips. "I'm so proud of you."
"Ast this is huge!" I grinned as I looped my arms around his neck.
"My girlfriend's gonna be all over Paris, that's really weird." He laughed as I giggled at him.
"I'm gonna be on the front cover of a magazine and everything!..But it's Paris! This is everything I dreamed of when I was a little girl, this and New York too."
"We'll get you to New York, don't worry," Aston smiled before I jumped on the spot, standing on my tip toes as I wrapped my arms around Astons neck in a hug. "You don't even know how proud I am of you. Like, this is incredible."
"I know, I never thought I'd get here." I mumbled into his shoulder as he ran his hand up and down my back.
"You deserve it more than anyone and I'm so so happy for you." He sighed contently as he squeezed me gently in his arms.
"I couldn't have done it without you Ast, if you didn't help me when I first brought out my line then I wouldn't be here right now."
"Oi," He said as he pulled back from the hug, holding my shoulders firmly. "You did this all by yourself, because you're so insanely talented and brilliant at what you do. I know fuck all about fashion and designing, all I did was keep you calm. That's it. I didn't design the clothes for you, I didn't call up designers to check your work out and I didn't put any clothes onto a runway..It was all you baby, I was just by your side the whole time..So give me a kiss and say that this was all you." He smiled as I rolled my eyes before quickly kissing his lips.
"It was all me." I giggled as he nodded his head proudly.
"Now, dinner's nearly done so why don't you sit down and I'll bring it over." Aston smiled, kissing my nose quickly before releasing me to tend to dinner.
"What are we having?" I asked as I sat down at the table while Aston plated up our meal.
"It's nothing special, don't get your hopes up," He laughed as I rolled my eyes, typical. "Will tuna pasta do you?"
"It'll do." I giggled as he brought the plates over. There was no point in refusing to have it because he wasn't going to cook anything else.
"So tell me how this whole Paris thing came about?" Aston asked as he sat down after pouring each of us a glass of white wine.
"One of the executives had their assistants come over to my show in London but kept it on the down low. She reported back to her boss and she loved everything that she saw," I told Aston as he nodded along. "She did her research and wanted me to put my designs on the runway in Paris."
"Just like that?" He asked as I nodded my head.
"I guess so, that's what Mark told me." I shrugged as I continued to eat dinner.
"Who cares, it's still amazing. You're gonna be all over Paris. Paris!" Aston grinned as he took my hand over the table, clearly excited for me. "So when do you go?" He asked, picking up his wine glass.
Ah, that's the only negative. I leave for Paris in two weeks. For three months.
