After mine and Astons weekend together it was straight back to work for the two of us. I was up bright and early to head over to my office and Aston had a photo shoot today at ten.
Dressed in my black pencil skirt and white blouse paired with my treasured sleek black Louboutins, I locked up the apartment and got in my car before driving downtown.
Once I'd arrived at the building I parked my car in my allotted space before using my swipe card to get in. I signed in too before getting in the lift and heading down the corridor to my office.
I started work pretty much straight away. Geoff had emailed me everything I needed to know and do so I made a start. I already had plenty of designs that were ready and waiting to be made so it was just a case of designing 5 more for each category. I dug out my sketch pad from a drawer in my desk and flicked through the designs I already had and I was able to pick a couple from there that I could use, so now I was down to about one or two more designs for each category.
Once the designs were over with, I got to work on the photo shoot side of things. I knew it wouldn't take that long so I made sure it was one of the first things I did. I called Scarlett and Nicole and asked if they could do the hair and make up for the shoot and they couldn't agree quick enough. I waited until my lunch break to call Aston and when I did, he instantly picked up.
"Hi babe."
"Hey, you busy?"
"Nope, just wrapped, I'm on my way home now, why?"
"I just needed to confirm some stuff for the photo shoot that's all."
"Are you on your lunch break?"
"Yeah."
"Well how about I stop by?"
"You sure?"
"Yeah, just text me the address and I'll be there as soon as."
We ended the phone call not long after and then I text Aston the address of the building before carrying on eating my lunch. Once I was finished I placed the carton in the bin and went back to my desk, scribbling down a few more notes and ideas for the websites and photo shoots.
"Lucy, you there?" Geoff asked through the speakerphone.
I hit the button and kept hold of it before I said, "Yeah I'm here, what's up?"
"There's a guy down in the reception waiting for you, should I send him up?"
"Yeah go ahead." I replied before letting go of the button and getting back to my ideas.
As I was jotting down a few ideas I was distracted by a knock on my door.
"Come in!" I called as Aston came in and shut the door behind him.
"Hey, nice office." He chuckled, looking at the bare walls.
"Shut up, I only moved into this one just two weeks before we went away, I didn't have time to decorate it. Sit." I said, pointing to the chair in front of my desk.
"Bossy," He muttered under his breath before sitting down.
"Listen, I've got two dates for the photo shoot, I've got the 25th August and the 7th September. Can you do either of those?" I asked as he got his phone out and clicked a few things.
"I can do the 25th no problem, but the 7th might be a struggle, what time is it?"
"It's two o'clock, I can shift some times around if you want?"
"Two o'clock should be fine, but it'll have to be quick because I've got a meeting at three."
"I'll make sure you're one of the firsts, then you can shoot off," I muttered as I scribbled it down in my diary to make a schedule for the photo shoot, while Aston got up out of his chair and came over to my side of the desk, leaning against it. "And what do you think you're doing?"
"Well considering my girlfriend hasn't said hello to me yet, I was kinda hoping I could get one." Aston smirked as he crossed his arms.
"Hi." I smiled as he shook his head before taking the pen out of my hand and pulling me up to stand in front of him.
"I want a proper hello," He winked before wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing me gently. "That wasn't so hard was it?..And listen, about this whole paying me thing-"
"I meant what I said, I'm not paying you." I giggled, resting my hands on his shoulders.
"Why not? You're paying everybody else!" Aston frowned, pulling me closer to stand in between his legs.
"You're my boyfriend! I shouldn't have to pay you! Plus, you offered!"
"Damn you're right." He joked as I laughed at him.
"But, it would be mean not to thank you."
"Oh yeah? And how you gonna do that?" He smirked.
"Well, it starts like this," I smiled as I hung my arms around his neck before kissing his lips. "And you'll find out the rest after the shoot."
"I guess I can live with not being paid," Aston shrugged before kissing me again. "What are you doing tonight?"
"Really? You want to see me tonight? We've just spent the weekend together." I giggled as he frowned.
"If you don't to spend time with me just say." He replied bluntly, releasing his grip on me and pushing me away as he headed for the door.
"Ast!" I said, somewhat shocked at his change in attitude.
"Whatever, I'll see you around." Aston sighed, waving his hand dismissively as he walked out of my office.
I sat down on my chair and let out a sigh. I was so confused. What made him change all of a sudden like that? More importantly, did he just break up with me?
