Eventually arriving home at half past five after a little detour around town, I said my goodbyes to Rachel making sure that she knew where to keep my dress and make sure it wouldn't get ruined. I'd already text Aston that I was on my home and he responded telling me that he'll put tea on as soon as he can, making me wonder what the hell he was doing. I put it to the back of my mind, along with the fact that somehow his mum had gotten hold of his card, and I forgot about it just as I walked into the house into silence.
"Hello?" I called out, shifting my bags into my other hand as I locked the door behind me.
"Up here!" Aston called back as I turned around to see the stairs lit up with little tea lights, there were two on each stair at the edge creating a candlelit path.
"What the hell?" I whispered, walking up the stairs carefully as to not catch my bags on any of them.
Each step I took, the soft sound of Michael Bublè became louder and louder. I reached the top of the stairs and the candles continued to make a path to our bedroom door. I followed them obviously and pushed my way into our bedroom, leaving my bags in the spare room on the way.
The bedroom lights had been dimmed, there were tea lights dotted all around the room, white rose petals sprinkled all over the bed and my fiancé stood in the doorway of the en suite with his grey joggers on, nothing else.
"What's all this?" I smiled as he stood up straight and made his way over to me.
"Well, it's been three years since we met," He started with a smile as he produced a single red rose from behind his back. "And I know how stressed out you've been with the wedding and the baby-"
"You do know it was yesterday that it was three years since we met?" I giggled, taking the rose off him and bringing it up to my nose to have a quick smell.
"Yeah but I didn't have time yesterday so shush," Aston chuckled, wrapping his arms around my waist as I wrapped one of my arms around his neck. "So I thought tonight could just be really chilled out and I'll give you that massage you've been bugging me about."
"You can take a hint!" I giggled as he rolled his eyes at me jokingly. "Seriously this is so thoughtful, and you got my favourite flowers." I said, referring to the white rose petals over the bed.
"Well I've not been able to stop thinking about you all day so that's probably why."
"It's sweet, don't push it into cheesy." I laughed before pushing my lips onto his.
"You go get yourself ready then and I'll get the massage stuff ready." Aston told me, tapping my bum before removing his arms from around me.
I slipped into the en suite to change and put my white fluffy dressing gown around me before heading back into our bedroom to see the bed all ready for me to lay down.
"Look at you," I laughed as Aston stood behind me, eager to rid me of my dressing gown. "Let me lie down first."
"Why? It's nothing I haven't seen before."
"Even so, I'm not having you perving." I said as I laid down on the bed before shrugging myself out of my dressing gown.
"I'm your fiancé, I'm allowed to perv," He laughed as I felt him sit over my bum. "Anyway, don't act like you weren't checking me out when you came in."
"That's completely different!"
"Yeah? How?" He asked as I heard him rub some sort of oil into his hands.
"You were stood there half naked, you were begging for me to check you out." I giggled as Aston began to gently massage my shoulders.
"Can we talk about something else now?" He chuckled as I rested my head on my arms and turned my head slightly to the left.
"Sure, lets talk about how your mum somehow managed to get hold of your card."
"Conor called today-"
"Ast! Stop it, how did your mum get your card?" I asked as he heaved a huge sigh whilst his fingers worked wonders on my back.
"I knew you wouldn't take it so after you left I called my mum and told her to come and get it just in case."
"But I told you over the phone that I couldn't afford it."
"It's just a one time thing, can you let it go? The last thing I wanted was for you to find a dress that you loved and not be able to buy it."
"We've got bills and-"
"We'll sort those out, the main thing is that you've got your dress and everything for the wedding's sorted now." Aston said as I sighed, both with annoyance and pleasure as he continued to massage my back.
"I can't believe we're getting married in two weeks." I smiled as he bent down to delicately kiss my cheek.
"Me neither..I forgot to ask, when we do our first dance are we doing a routine or not?"
"I was thinking we'd do the ballroom one that you taught me." I suggested as Aston moved himself off me, telling me that he was finished, and lay down on his front beside me resting his head on his arms, just like I'm doing, so that he's facing me.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah, it's more personal and I loved that dance." I smiled as he smiled back at me.
"Did you bring me a treat back?" He asked as I tutted jokingly before nodding my head. "Can I have it?"
"Sure, just let me go get it." I giggled as I put my dressing gown back on before leaving our bedroom to go to the spare bedroom where his 'treat' was.
I slipped into a baby pink sexy lingerie set (see picture) that I'd bought on the way back from dress shopping. I realised how much Ast was looking forward to his 'treat' and that weirdly made me self conscious, I've never been self conscious in front of him before. I took a look in the mirror and to me, it looks like I've put on weight. But then again, the last time I went to the gym was a few weeks ago. I put it to the back of my mind and headed back for our bedroom, to see Aston sat up at the top of the bed.
"So, what do you think?" I asked, standing in the doorway as his head shot up.
"Woah, what did I do to deserve this?" He asked with a smile as I made my way over to the bed.
"Well I promised to bring you a treat back."
"A treat indeed." He smiled, looking me up and down before taking my hand and pulling me down onto the bed.
"And it's also a thank you for my dress, I know it was a lot of money." I added as Aston ran his hand up and down the side of my body slowly.
"I've told you from the start, I want you to have everything you want for our wedding." He smiled before eagerly pressing his lips against mine.
"Can I ask you something?" I asked as I pulled away.
"Sure, anything." Aston mumbled as he gently kissed my neck.
"Do you think I've put on weight?"
"Is this a trick question?" He asked, lifting his head up and looking at me intently.
"What? No, just tell me honestly."
"No I don't think you've put on weight, now can I enjoy my treat?" He chuckled as I rolled my eyes before nodding, giggling all the while.
