Astons P.O.V.
"Hey, sorry I'm late." I sighed, sitting on one of the stools at the bar next to the boys.
"Ey up, trouble in paradise?" JJ laughed as I ordered myself a beer.
"Kind of, yeah." I shrugged as his face fell.
"I was joking, what's happened with you two?"
"Just, everything."
"That helps," Aaron said, rolling his eyes. "What's going on?"
"Luce's dad died a few weeks ago," I sighed as JJ dug his phone out of his pocket. "Things have been a bit rocky since, that's all."
"Is she alright man?" Tom asked as I nodded my head slightly after taking a mouthful of my drink.
"She's not too bad, but she's not too good either."
"She's not taking it well then?"
"Nope," I said, knocking another mouthful back. "She went ballistic at the funeral, proper lashed out, especially at me."
"You mean-"
"She hit me, yeah, multiple times, said she hated me, the lot."
"Shit,"
"Wouldn't expect that from Luce." JJ frowned as I shook my head.
"Me neither, but it was all too overwhelming for her with it being not long off Lilly's anniversary."
"Mate, who's Lilly?" Aaron frowned as I smacked my face with the palm of my hand as I rested my elbow on the bar.
"Fuck." I cursed, scrunching my eyes up.
"What?" Tom frowned as the rest of the boys looked on confused.
"I wasn't meant to tell you that, Luce is gonna kill me."
"What? About this 'Lilly'? JJ asked as I nodded my head.
"Yeah, she doesn't want anyone to know about her."
"But she told you?"
"Obviously, we're getting married." I tutted, rolling my eyes.
"Maybe not after this." JJ laughed as Aaron patted his back and laughed with him.
"Jay that's not funny."
"Alright fine, so who is Lilly?"
"She's Lucy's daughter," I sighed as they all looked back wide eyed. "She had her when she was seventeen, the baby was early and died a few days before Luce's birthday."
"Woah." JJ whistled as he tapped his phone screen a few times.
"And she's kept it quiet all this time?" Tom asked, I nodded my head as I felt my phone buzz in my pocket.
I dug it out of my pocket and checked the screen, two messages from Luce, one from a half hour ago and one from a minute ago.
[i just wanted you to know how sorry I am, acting like that at my dads funeral was the worst thing I've ever done, you're the best thing that's ever happened to me and I definitely don't want to lose you. I love you so much Ast, have fun tonight, you deserve it! Xx]
[how the fuck does JJ know about Lilly?! don't bother coming home tonight, stay somewhere else.]
"Jay!"
"What?" He asked innocently after ordering another round.
"You told Luce?!"
"I just said that I was sorry about Lilly and hope she's doing okay."
"Well thanks to you I've been kicked out tonight." I sighed, knocking back three shots in a row.
[where else am I meant to stay? x]
[i don't care.]
