Chapter 12

Harry had completed the second task which was rescuing Ron from the black lake. He had also saved Fleur's little sister Gabrielle since she was unable to. However Draco seemed very distant ever since he talked with Pansy and Blaise. You tried to console and comfort him but it never worked, reading his mind was also out of the question as it never worked with him.

During breakfast Draco wasn't speaking but just staring down at his plate. "What's up with you mate" said Fred but Draco didn't answer him, Fred gave you a concerned look but you just shrugged your shoulders. "Are you okay?" you asked, "I'm fine" he responded. "I'm gonna go up to my dorm,"Draco said, getting up from the table. "Oh, I'll come" you said, "i'm gonna go alone... and you should sleep in your dorm tonight" he added, leaving the Great Hall.

You were hurt at what Draco said but you figured he just needed some alone time. "What's up with him?" Ron asked "I don't know" you responded continuing to eat. The entire breakfast you never spoke again but instead just listened to Ron, Hermione, and Harry talk about Rita Skeeter.

Over the course of a few days Draco didn't let you sleep in his dorm or even go in it. He was eating but he hardly spoke to you or anyone. It seemed as if he was avoiding you or wanted you to take a hint. You had also become very closed off and hardly spoke. Your friends noticed but you assured them it was nothing which they hardly believed. You were sitting in the ravenclaw common staring out the window when an owl came flying towards it. You pushed open the window and it flew in. It had a letter attached to his leg which you untied.

It was from draco and he wanted to talk to you at the Astronomy Tower. You quickly grabbed your cloak and walked out of the common room and headed for the tower. You had to make sure to avoid Filch and Mrs. Norris which was very hard but you managed. You finally made it to the Astronomy Tower and saw Draco standing at the edge holding on to the railing. He was staring at the sky and all the stars but he turned around once he saw you.

"Draco" you said but you couldn't say anymore because he ran up to you and pulled you into a tight hug. You could hear him crying as he held onto you. "I- I'm sorry" he said, still holding you. I'm sorry for avoiding you and for making you feel as though I didn't love you" he said through his tears. You started to cry as well after hearing what he said. Draco pulled away and his hands were now holding your cheeks. He was wiping your tears with his fingers and he lowered down to you placing his lips on yours.

"Can you forgive me?" he asked, staring into your eyes, "of course" you responded. "I love you y/n" Draco said "me too" you responded. You and Draco were staring into each other's eyes again without saying anything. You both stayed like that for a few minutes just taking in each other's gaze. Draco then took your hands into his and placed a kiss on your forehead. "How about we head back to your dorm, it's getting pretty late" you said, "lets go" Draco said. You were walking with him back to his dorm as you held hands, fingers interlocked.

You reached his dorm after a while of running through hallways trying to avoid Filch. Draco had pulled you into the bathroom and sat you on the counter while he started the warm water. Draco began to strip, taking off his shirt and unbuttoning his trousers. "Well come on" he said, taking you off the counter. You also began to remove your clothes as Draco sat down in the water. He sat down in front of him while he pulled you closer to his body. "I missed this" you said "me too" Draco replied.

You and Draco had finally made up after a week or two and you were back to normal. Draco was still a bit uneasy about his family situation but you helped to comfort him. He was eating again which you really enjoyed. Hermione was still going on about catching Rita Skeeter and exposing her but you just tuned it out. Fred and George were up to something very suspicious and you figured it out after going into their head. They wanted to start a business with their joke products.

Ever since Harry saved Gabrielle Fleur has been much nicer to him and Ron as well. Draco was now back to clutching onto you every meal you had which made you extremely happy. The school year was coming to an end very soon in about 4 months. Harry had to complete the 3rd task which he found out was a maze. While he was looking at the growing maze he encountered Mr. Crouch who seemed very crazy. He told you all about it and everyone thought he was crazy. The professors went on guard and were becoming wary about someone tampering with the tournament.

Draco had become closer with everyone through this year and he seemed very happy about it. He was also trying to end ties with his family but it was difficult since they were very powerful. "What're you thinking about" you asked "how to leave my family" Draco responded. "You could live with me,'' you suggested to him "or you could live with us" the twins said. "Do you ever actually go back to your house y/n" Ron said "they don't really need me there so not really" you said.

"Plus I like staying at your house, it's much more fun" you added.

"Well we like having you over" Ginny added. "You could stay with them" you said to Draco "but then I can't see you" he pouted. "I basically live there, you'll see me all the time" you said pulling him into a hug. "Okay," he said, burying his head deeper into your chest. "I love you" he whispered, "me too".
