Chapter 38

Harry's Occlumency had been going on with Snape ever since your return but you could tell they were going terrible. Harry however did lie to Hermione that he was actually learning to control it.

With Umbridge at school everything was going to shit. She even fired Professor Trelawney, even though her teaching was very bad it was still wrong. "Thank merlin Trelawney is gone" said Ron "she wasn't that bad" you said "her teaching is just-" you said "mental that's what it is" Ron said cutting you off. "Well we have a new teacher" you said "yeah that centaur" said Harry "hopefully he's actually good" said Ron.

DA meetings were still going on but now everyone had to be more careful ever since Umbridge formed an inquisitorial squad. She hand picked certain students whom she thought were excellent for keeping order in the school. You were in a meeting but Harry had scheduled it during the day just so there was no way for anyone to track the days. "We're going to learn about producing a patronus" said Harry "to produce one you need to think of your happiest memory and put it forth into your magic" he continued.

"Okay everyone just try" he said, everyone started to hold their wands out in front of them as they uttered the incarnation "expecto patronum". Ginny as successful in producing hers as a silver blue horse strode out of her wand and pranced around the room. "You go first" said Draco "but if I can't" you said "you'll be fine" said Draco. "Expecto patronum" you said, a silver blue stream of light flowed out of your wand producing a swan. The swan took off into the air flapping its massive wings as it soared around the room.

"y/n that's incredible" said Draco looking astounded at the patronus flying around the room "your turn" you said "alright fine" Draco said. "Expecto patronum" said Draco releasing the same stream of light from his wand also producing a swan. The swan took off and flew to the other swan patronus and flew together. They danced around the room as they flowed with each other in fluid like motions. Suddenly Dobby apparated into the room. "Harry Potter, Dobby has come with news" the elf said "something is coming" he said before apparating away.

There was a loud bang shaking the entire room. The patronuses all faded away as the noises continued. "What's happening?" you asked "I don't know" replied Draco taking your hand in his lacing your fingers together. The walls on the room were starting to crack showing the corridors of the school. Harry walked up to find Umbridge with a bunch of other students with their wands held and holding some girl. Another door appeared on the opposite side and everyone ran for it. Umbridge blasted through the wall and the students barged into the room grabbing those who they could.

"Fumos" you said, slashing your wand at the ground shooting out a white light and exploding in a massive cloud of smoke. You, Draco, and the other students ran through the door down the corridors. "Grab them!" shrieked Umbridge, the inquisitorial squad ran down the halls trying to grab the remaining people. One of them had got hold of Tommy. "Let go of me!" he screamed, you waved your wand in his direction shooting out magical vines. They wrapped around the Slytherin and pulled him off of Tommy. "Lets go" you screamed to him as Tommy came running towards you.

You, Tommy, and Draco were still running through the school trying to avoid anyone from the inquisitorial squad. There was one of them who was still running after you and he just wouldn't stop. Tommy stopped running and stood to face the boy. "Stupefy" Tommy said, sending blue sparks at the boy, knocking him back and stunning him. "Great work" you cheered as Tommy jumped up and down.

"Where to now?" you asked "I don't know" said Draco. "Umbridge probably has all she needs by now" said Draco "she has Harry" he added. The three of you walked cautiously through the school to the Great Hall. "y/n, Draco" you heard someone say, earning you to whip your head around. It was Nick, Connor, Evan, and Bailey. "We thought they caught you" Nick said "they almost did and a few others if I didn't put up a smoke screen" you chuckled "smart thinking" said Connor. "I wonder who gave us up" said Evan "whoever it is, is gonna get cursed" said Nick "by us" Connor added. "For once I agree with you two" said Evan earning a small laugh from Bailey.

You made it to the Great Hall where you saw a few other students sitting there. Hermione, Ron, Ginny, and the twins were all there. You took everyone to the Gryffdinor table and sat down. "What happened to Harry?"you asked "she got him" Hermione said "how did this even happen?" asked Ron. "someone gave us up" said Hermione, "and we'll find out soon," she added. Harry came walking into the Great Hall followed by Professor Mcgonagall but she left after walking Harry in.

"What happened?" everyone asked "Dumbledore said he set up the meetings and then he left" said Harry "what do you mean he left?" Hermione asked "He just left" Harry answered. "Who snitched?" asked Fred "it was Cho's friend, Marietta" Harry said "I knew she wasn't good" you said "so why didn't you say anything!" Harry shouted "I didn't look into her head" you shouted back. "If you knew she wasn't good then why woulndt you look into her head!" Harry shouted standing up and slamming his hand on the table "I- I don't know" you said "well that's just great isn't it... a good for nothing legilimens" Harry said earning a slap on the arm from Hermione.

You immediately shot up from the table and sent Harry flying backwards with a wave of your wand. "I'm good for nothing?" you shouted "you can't even learn Occlumency" you said. Harry was lying on his back on the other table as he groaned in pain. "Stupefy" said Harry standing up on the table, "protego" you said blocking the jinx. "Incarcerous" you said but Harry ducked "everte statum" Harry said, flying you backwards onto another table.

"Confringo" you said standing up on the table but Harry jumped out of the way as the table exploded in a swell of flames. "Y/N, HARRY STOP!" Hermione shouted but neither of you cared, you both kept shooting curses and kept ducking to avoid getting hit. "Avis" you said, sending a flock of birds in Harry's direction. Harry was swatting at them while they circled around him, "finite" he said extinguishing the birds into dust. "Enough, both of you!" Hermione shouted, sending sparks into the air creating a loud bang.

The Great Hall looked as if someone had used the blasting curse on everything. Tables were split and some completely destroyed. Hermione walked around the room waving her wand, placing everything back into its place. She even repaired all of the destroyed tables before sitting back down on the Gryffindor table. "That was bloody crazy" said Ron "are you two feeling better?" Ron asked "yeah" you and Harry said. "Why can't you two talk things out like normal people?" Hermione asked "cause we have wands" you and Harry chuckled "it seems like you two finally made up" she added "like we were even mad at each other" you said "we could never" chuckled Harry.
