Chapter 47

It was Gryffindor Quidditch team tryouts first thing in the morning. You were flying around the field on your broom just taking in the morning breeze. Hermione was seated in the stands along with Lavender Brown. "If you're not from Gryffindor then you can leave" Harry said with a group of girls giggling as they walked away. Harry's tryouts went okay with most of the team being some of the same people who were on it all those other years. You were flying around as Ron was trying to block out all the quaffles. He only missed one but other than that he was definitely improving.

Cormac Mclaggen was up and he was doing extremely well with blocking. But on one of them he mysteriously shifted completely out of the way of the goal post. You looked over to see Hermione sitting there with a big smile on her face. Harry had finished with his tryouts and flew up to Hermione allowing her to hop on his broom. You flew back to the castle with them instead of holding tryouts. "I thought you were gonna have tryouts?" Harry asked "I've decided against it" you replied "I'm definitely not up to be captain with all that's going on" you chuckled throwing your arm around Harry's shoulder.

"Oh y/n we have a Slug Club dinner tonight" Hermione said "is it going to be good?" you asked "hopefully" she responded. "Slughorn talked to you as well, are you going?" you asked Harry "I have lessons with Dumbledore, so definitely not" he replied. "I wish there were others who we knew, not just Neville" Hermione said "he goes for special people, whatever that means" you said. The rest of the day you sat in the Great Hall or out in the courtyard doing homework.

It reached nightfall signaling for Slughorn's dinner party. You, Hermione, and Neville all walked to his office which he turned into a dining room. You took a seat next to Hermione and Neville. There were other students there but they looked like they didn't want to be there either. Blaise Zabini walked into the room and took a seat opposite of you. "Has anyone seen mr. Potter?" Slughorn asked but everyone just shook their heads.

"Well how about we introduce ourselves?" Slughorn suggested "or not it's alright" he chuckled. Dinner was very awkward but you were talking to Hermione and Neville so it was definitely much more fun. While you were talking to Hermione you caught Blaise staring at you earning you to turn your head. You made eye contact with him but he didn't break it, neither did you. "It's so awkward" you said to Hermione, breaking eye contact with Blaise "I know, I wish it were more friendly" she chuckled. Dinner had finally ended with dessert but no one talked. Slughorn excused everyone from the table and you left for your dorm.

Blaise went back to the Slytherin dorms and pushed open Draco;s door. Pansy walked in behind him as well. "I got what you need," said Blaise, earning Draco to put down his book "and that is?" Draco asked. "He's definitely hiding how he feels," said Blaise. "I saw him walk into the Great Hall, his face was wet," Blaise continued "what did you even do?" asked Pansy. "I told you, we broke up cause it wasn't working" Draco said "but you two were perfect for each other" she said "you do realize our parents are death eaters right?" Pansy asked "we know that you broke up with him because you went back" she said.

"Why did you go back?" Pansy asked "I figured that if I did he would be safe" Draco said "but you could protect him even more if you stayed with him" Pansy retorted "I didn't ask you two to come here to belittle me" Draco sneered. "Have any of you seen Theo?" Draco asked "yeah I saw him with y/n" pansy chuckled "when?" he asked "today". "And what were they doing?" Draco asked "Theo was just doing his usual thing" she answered "but y/n hit him with his book" she laughed. "You better hope he doesn't fall for Theo or Theo falls for him" Pansy said leaving the room with Blaise following behind her.

The next day you woke up around 7 a.m. and got dressed for the day. Since you were prefect you were allowed your own dorm. You walked out of your dorm and made your way into the common room and to your surprise you found Theo sitting on one of the couches. "What're you doing here?" you asked "just having fun" he chuckled getting up from his seat. "Whatever, let's go to breakfast," you said, pulling with you. You walked out of the common room and made your way down the spiral staircase with Theo following behind you.

Draco was already seated in the Great Hall with Pansy and Blaise eating breakfast. "Oh my god" gasped Pansy pointing to you and Theo, "everyone look!" someone shouted from across the hall pointing to the entrance of the Great Hall. You were only talking to him so you started to look around confused about what everyone was talking about. Theo threw his arm around your shoulder and placed a kiss on your cheek making you pull away from him. "I'm gonna kill you" you said "I'd like yo see you try" he chuckled.

You walked away from him to the Gryffindor table and sat next to Harry. "Look at that" Ron joked "oh shut up" you said "I didn't know you two were a thing" Harry said. "We're not a thing" you said "then why'd he kiss you?" Ron asked "I don't know" you replied. You looked over to the Slytherin table to see Theo blow you a kiss as he laughed. You just laughed it off since you knew what he was playing at.

Theo came walking over to you and threw his arm around you as he sat down next to you. "Hey, Clearwater" Theo said "what do you want Nott?" you asked "I'm bored" the boy responded. "Well go bother someone else, I'm busy" you said pulling his arm off of you "but there's no one else to bother" Theo groaned. "Do you have friends?" you asked "ofc course I have friends" Theo chuckled "you're my friend, aren't you?" he asked "of course, I'll always be your friend" you said throwing an arm around his shoulder.

"How do you two know each other?" Ron asked "from childhood" you said "our parents are both death eaters" you and Theo chuckled. "It did make for some very interesting childhoods" Theo said "it was still pretty normal though" you added "normal for us" he chuckled.
