Chapter 13

The day of the final task of the Triwizard Tournament had finally arrived and Harry wasn't doing so well. Hermione kept trying to make him eat at least something but he wouldn't. The bell rang signaling the time for the champions to head over. "We'll meet you out there at the stands" Hermione said "okay" he replied. The twins were already running over to the stands by the time you got up from the table. Draco took your hand in his and started to walk out of the Great Hall.

When you got to the stands the other schools were still coming in but the music students were already there. Once there were more people each school started to either dance or sing. You took a seat next to Draco and the twins. "That maze looks dangerous" you said "good thing you're not going in there then" Draco replied. Harry and Cedric made their way to the front with Dumbledore followed by Krum and Fleur. Fleur was standing by Madame Maxime and Krum was standing next to Kakaroff.

Dumbledore started to give his speech about how the maze is deadly and all that but you weren't paying attention to any of it. The maze then began to open and Harry and Cedric walked in. After a few minutes Krum went in and so did Fleur. You couldn't hear much from the maze so you decided to just stare at Draco. One of the Beauxbatons boys kept staring at you so you smiled at him. He sent a letter flying your way with his name on it and asking for yours. You caught it in the air and opened it only for Draco to rip it up and start to kiss you.

"Someones jealous" you joked "you're mine, no one elses" Draco remarked placing another kiss on your lips. The task was taking forever but soon enough Fleur was brought back and she didn't look too good. Her teacher was very concerned about her and tried to wake her up multiple times. She eventually did but not after Krum had come back as well. That left Harry and Cedric in the maze but what you didn't know was that they were teaming up.

After long hours of waiting it had turned into night and it became more cold than before. You were shivering since you didn't bring your robes cause you thought it wasn't going to go into the night. Draco felt you shaking and took off his coat and put it on you. "Oh, you don't have to give it to me" you said "I want to" he said. "Plus you're shaking and I love you" he added pulling you closer to him. Suddenly Harry was flown into the lawn with a flash of light.

He was lying on the floor with the cup in his hand. But he wasn't on the floor, instead Cedric's lifeless body. After seeing him Fleur let out a blood curdling scream signaling something was terribly wrong. "What's going on" you said standing up, Draco immediately stood up and started to follow you down the stands. You had reached the lawn with Draco behind you. "Oh my god" you said with small tears trickling down your face. "Hey... hey" Draco said, pulling you into a hug with your head in his chest. "You're okay, you're okay" he repeated to comfort you.

You had been sort of close with Cedric because he had wanted to get closer to Cho and you knew her. You helped him ask her to the Yule Ball but you never expected him to die. Draco started to lead you away from the scene so you wouldn't have to keep looking. The others were already walking to the castle so you and Draco joined them. Harry was gone and no one knew where he went. You went into Draco's dorm and sat on his bed just staring at the wall. "Are you okay?" Draco asked sitting next to you "I don't really know" you responded. "You guys were close right?" Draco asked "we were kind of close... so it hurts" you said more tears starting to fall.

Draco pulled you into a tight hug and you cried into his chest. He was rubbing your back and just held you. The next morning you woke up to find Draco walking back into the room. "Great you're up, we need to pack" he said "pack for what?" you asked. "Summer" he said, flicking his wand so all of his belongings flew into his trunk. "Come on," Draco said, pulling you out of bed to go back to your dorm. Draco brought his trunk with him since you were all leaving today. You packed away all of your things and said goodbye to your dorm mates who you would see next year again.

You excited the Ravenclaw common room and you walked with Draco to where the others were gathered. "How are you y/n" they all asked "I'm fine" you replied giving them a smile. Draco laced his fingers with yours and gave you a softened smile. You heard the train whistle and grabbed your trunk heading for the exit. Draco had bewitched both of your trunks to float alongside you so you could hold hands. Draco put the trunks away and walked into the compartment taking a seat next to you. He rested his head on your shoulder and closed his eyes.

You stayed awake almost the entire ride until Draco had woken up and told you to sleep. Ron had owled Mrs. Weasley that Draco was going to stay with them over the summer. She did allow it after hearing that he left his family. You were also staying over because your parents were going on a trip and had already left.

When you arrived at Kings Cross Molly and Arthur were there waiting for you. They greeted everyone with hugs and kisses including Draco. "Well then, let's go home" Molly said. Harry had said goodbye to everyone and went with his uncle back to his house.

You all started to walk out of the station but continued through the streets until you came up to a strange looking building. Suddenly it began to expand, opening a new part of it. They opened the door and ushered everyone in quickly. The house was very old and looked as though it hadn't been cleaned. Molly showed everyone to their rooms and she headed back downstairs. "Is this where you usually stay?" Draco asked, setting down his trunk. "Definitely not" you replied, setting your trunk down as well. Draco jumped onto the bed and patted the spot next to him. You laid down next to him and he put his arm around you. "I love you darling" he said "I love you Draco".
