Chapter 57

You, Ron, and Hermione were all eligible for the extra apparition lessons in Hogsmeade, but sadly Harry was not old enough or going to be old enough any time soon. "We'll let you know how it goes" you said pulling Harry into a hug "good luck" said Harry pulling away. You walked with Ron and Hermione down the pathway to Hogsmeade and found the rest of the students in a crowd. "Everyone one at a time please, and form a line" said the ministry man. You went behind Ron who was behind Hermione. It was Ron's turn and he managed to appararte but ended up in the wrong place.

You went after Ron and landed in the same place as Hermione did. The hour went on and soon mostly everyone was able to actually get somewhere. "Alright everyone, let's call it a day" said the man dismissing everyone. "Ron you did it" you cheered pulling him into a hug "I went too far" said Ron "you still did it" you replied. You pulled away from him and continued the journey back up to the castle. 'Ron pushed open the portrait door to find Harry sitting on one of the couches. "How did it go?" asked Harry "it went okay, I went too far" said Ron "you did fine" you interrupted. "And Hermione?" said Harry "perfect as always" said Ron throwing his arms up in the air.

"Have you been to the room of requirement?" asked Hermione "I have but I ran into Tonks, she was looking for Dumbledore" said Harry "why would she abandon her post to see Dumbledore?" asked Hermione "she's a bit off, don't you think" said Hermione "well she's just sad" you said. "Her patronus even changed, maybe she was in love with Sirius" said Ron "it might be a possibility" said Hermione.

The next few days were letting in more sun reaching spring time. You were sitting in the courtyard with Harry, Ron, and, Hermione reading up on "common apparition mistakes and how to avoid them". A girl turned and headed in making Ron jump behind Hermione. "It isn't Lavender"said Hermione "just break up with her if you're so done with her" you said "it's not that easy" said Ron. "harry potter?" asked the girl "yes?" said Harry, "this is for you" she said handing Harry the letter. "It's from Hagrid," said Harry as he started to read the letter. "He wants us to go see his dead spider, Aragog" said Harry, "he's mental" retorted Ron.

"We're not going" said Ron "it can't be that bad" said Hermione "you haven't met the damn spider" snapped Ron. "I'm with Ron, I don't need to see that spider again" you said leaning against Ron's body."you can't be thinking of going Harry" you said "well it's just a visit" replied Harry "how are possibly going to get out and in with the higher security?" you asked. "You're going to need some crazy luck" said Hermione "that's it!" said Ron "what if you used your luck for Slughorn" said Ron. "That's brilliant Ron" said Harry "if I can't get him to talk today, then I'll go later" said Harry. "Quick hide me" said Ron pulling you in front of him as a girl walked by "it isn't Lavender" said Hermione.

"Those are the Montgomery sisters," said Hermione, "their brother died," she added. "Died?" you three asked "he was attacked by a werewolf" answered Hermione "but I thought they only just bit them" you said "sometimes it goes further" replied Ron "if they get carried away" he added. "Rumor has it that it was Fenrir Greyback" said Hermione. The bell rang signaling the time for apparition tests, and for Harry to head to potions. "You'll do fine" said Harry "good luck" he said "you too" said Hermione pulling you and Ron with her.

Harry walked into the dungeons to find only him and a few other students, including Draco. Harry was not very happy that this class was so small and he had no one to talk to. After an excruciating awkward hour class was finally over and so were apparition tests. Harry walked into the common room to find you, Ron, and Hermione sitting on the floor. "How'd it go?" Harry asked "we passed!" you and Hermione cheered "Ron only didn't cause of that stupid adminsiator" you sneered. "An eyebrow!" said Ron "the dumbest thing ever" you said.

"Yes, it was very stupid for just an eyebrow" said Hermione "how about Slughorn?" she asked "not good" replied Harry. "I guess I'll take some now," he said, pulling it out of his jacket pocket, "only four hours so a small amount," he continued, pulling off the vial topper. He tilted it to his lips and the shinty gold liquid slid into his mouth. "How are you?" you asked "perfect!" cheered Harry "I'm gonna go to Hagrids" said Harry "no, you have to go to Slughorn" snapped Hermione "I have a feeling, like it's where I should go" said Harry "you're gonna go see a dead spider?" Ron questioned "yeah, I feel like it's the place to be tonight" said Harry. "You know what I mean" he continued "no" you, Ron, and Hermione said.

Harry threw on his cloak and disappeared out of the room. You walked into a separate room to collect your bag and heard someone yelling. "What are you doing here with her?" shrieked Lavender as Ron and Hermione exited the boys dormitories. You walked out of the room with your bag and was heading to where Ron and Hermione were. Ron and Lavender were in what looked like a fight, but mainly just her crying. Hermione was sitting on a nearby couch just watching the show. "Should we stop them?" you chuckled "let it play out" laughed Hermione motioning for you to sit.

The fight went on for a while but finally Lavender had left and Ron was sitting on the couch next to you. "You're now free" you joked "thank merlin" chuckled Ron laying his head in your lap. Harry came back an hour later looking much more happy than before. "How'd it go?" you asked "perfectly" said Harry taking a seat on the floor in front of you. "We'll talk about everything tomorrow" said Hermione, pointing to you and Ron fast asleep next to each other.
