Chapter 78

Death eaters surged into the castle along with every other dark creature Voldemort had convinced to join his side. The statue knights were lined up on the main bridge of the castle as swirls of smoke lunged at them. As the creatures got closer vines and roots erupted from the ground, grabbing any who crossed their path. As the death eaters flew past the bridge they sent curses out, green flashes of light hit the soldiers sending them off the bridge or out of place. Fires erupted along the bridge as well while professor Flitwick ran back to the castle. A massive troll was now on top of the bridge destroying any who crossed its path, the soldiers did their best to hold it off but failed miserably.

The death eaters made it to the castle and exploded as many buildings as they could. "Get inside!" cried Mcgonagall as she directed all of the students back into the castle, the castle was going up in flames as more death eaters found their way in through windows and exploded holes.

You were helping other students run through the massive staircase when a death eater broke through the back window. "Confringo" you said, sending a blitz of fire at the death eater who got blown into the wall. "Harry" you called out as you ran up to him, "where are the others?" he asked "I have no clue". "Ginny" said Harry as she approached "are you alright?" he asked "Im fine" said Ginny. "Have any of you seen Luna?" Neville asked "for what?", "I'm mad for her. . .and I think its time I told her since we'll both be dead by dawn" he chuckled as he ran up the staircase.

"Go with Neville" said Harry "I'm staying with you" protested Ginny "I'll be fine, go!". Ginny nodded as she ran up the staircase after Neville but not after she placed a kiss on Harry's lips."we need to get to the room of requirement" said Harry as he bolted down the stairs "for what?" you asked "the diadem, I think I know where it is". You followed after Harry as he ran to the seventh floor.

Draco, Ron, and Hermione made it back into the castle while the walls around them shook with explosions. "I'll be right back" he said, with a crack he was gone. Draco appeared in the dungeons where Filch had locked up the rest of the Slytherins. "Let us out of here you squib" sneered Pansy as Filch walked away. Draco flicked his wand as he hid behind a corner, the door of the cell blew open as the Slytherins ran out cheering. Draco apparated back to Ron and Hermione as they were walking through the castle.

You ran down a corridor with Harry as the walls around you exploded. You flicked your wand, sending all of the debris flying back from where it came and out of the way as the walls crumbled down. "Now what?" you asked but Harry didn't answer, he closed his eyes and soon a door appeared before you. Harry grabbed your hand and pulled you into the room as he closed the door behind you.

"We'll never find them on this" groaned Ron as he held out the marauders map "look, there they are" said Hermione pointing to yours and Harry's names. Your names soon disappeared from the map, "where'd they go?" asked Draco "the only place" said Hermione "the room of requirement does not show names". "Well come on then" said Draco as he sprinted down the corridor, Ron and Hermione followed after him as he put the map back into his pocket.

You stood in the room of requirement which looked almost the same as when you fled the castle with Draco. But this time there was more clutter and it piled up to the ceiling, chairs stacked on everything as small cages resided on ledges. "We're never going to find anything here" you groaned pulling out your wand "we just need to try" replied Harry pulling out his wand. Harry wandered through the room as you followed him, he twisted his head around every so often you would think he had a crick in his neck. The room of requirement was empty. . .or so you thought.

Crabe, Goyle, and Blaise were entering the room of requirement to seek out Harry and Draco. What they planned to accomplish? Who knows. They stood on the seventh floor in front of the giant wall, a massive door appeared once more. They pushed it open and found themselves inside of the room of requirement. Draco, Ron, and Hermione got there just as they closed the door behind them. "The doors still here?" said Ron "maybe its fucked" replied Draco as he ran down the hallway. "Come on" said Draco as he pushed open the door as Ron and Hermione ran down the hallway. Draco walked in as they followed him in, Ron shut the door behind him and turned his head to look at everything.

"It looks like it did when you fled the castle" said Ron "but now there's piles of random junk" he added. "We just need to find them and we can get out of here" said Hermione as she pulled out her wand. "This place is massive, we'll never find them here" said Ron "we have to try". "y/n can sense when someones here, so maybe he'll find us" said Draco "how does he do that?" asked Ron. "no clue, but he's done it before" replied Draco as he pulled out his wand.

You continued to follow Harry as he wandered through the room, the stacks of junk got even higher and pathways were carved through. It was like being lost in a maze. "Can you feel it?" you asked "I feel something but I'm not sure" replied harry as he walked down one of the pathways. He made his way past a bunch of portraits that were ripped to shreds, he walked past a table and suddenly stopped. "What is it?" you asked but he didn't answer, he just stood staring at the table piled with junk.

There was a cloth covering a box which Harry pulled off. He picked up the box and set it down closer to him. He unlatched the box and pushed it open to find the diadem. It was a silver tiara with diamonds embellished all over with a center blue jewel right on top and a dangling piece as well. "Its beautiful" you said walking closer to him, "someones here" you said as he picked it up in his hands. He flicked his head up to see Crabe, Goyle, and Blaise. "Potter" sneered Goyle as he had his wand raised, "where's Draco?" he asked. "None of your business" you snapped "does Clarewater want to get hurt" he teased "I'll be the one hurting you" you sneered holding your wand up.

"I'll ask again. Where's Draco?" he repeated "I told you, none of your business" you snarled. "Go on, do it" said Crabe, "finish him" he added. "expelliarmus" said Hermione coming up behind you, Goyles wand flew out his hand and hit a nearby pile. "Ava kerdavra" said Crabe sending green sparks at you, you flicked your wand and blocked the spell but Harry jumped out of the way. He threw the diadem back onto the table as he pulled out his wand. "Stupefy" said Hermione but the spell hit the table instead, sending the diadem to go flying in the air.
