"I can't wait to meet him, Yunho. I remember you going to his soccer game before Fall break. I'm so glad you're branching out and making new friends this year," Yunho's mother says with a smile on her face, flattening out her blouse before she starts fixing Yunho's button-up."A friend that will go to church with you is a friend you should keep forever," Yunho's father says, a proud smile on his face as well and it makes Yunho feel a swell of happiness in his stomach.
His parents have never been this happy with any of Yunho's friends and they haven't even met Seonghwa yet. He told them a bit about him, but he wanted to mostly wait and see how Seonghwa acted around them. Yunho can't help but twirl a strand of hair as the clock turns 8:28.
Knock
Knock
Knock
Yunho jumps at the knocks on the door, not used to hearing the sound since San would never knock. He briskly goes to the door and opens it, looking Seonghwa up from his well-shined black oxfords to his steamed trousers and tucked-in button-up until he finally lands on his smoldering face.
He can't hold back the small gasp that escapes his mouth when they make eye contact and Seonghwa smiles and winks at him, and Yunho has never been more thankful for his height, his body shielding his parents from the subtle flirting Seonghwa's so accustomed to. Yunho almost misses when Seonghwa mouths 'hey, angel' at him, but he tries to ignore the sparks it sends through him.
"You must be Park Seonghwa," Yunho's father comes to greet him in a small bow and an outstretched hand that Seonghwa takes with ease.
"Yes sir, it's a pleasure," Seonghwa says, coming back up from the bow with his back straightened and he smiles towards the woman he assumes is Yunho's mother, "It's nice to finally meet you both. Yunho has become a good friend of mine this semester and when he invited me to church with you all I couldn't decline," Seonghwa speaks with a poise that Yunho's never seen from him, but he doesn't miss his comment about them being good friends. That doesn't even begin to describe it, Yunho thinks to himself.
"We heard that you're quite the soccer player, isn't that right, sweetie? Yunho told us that you're the captain of the team," Yunho's mother smiles at Seonghwa and looks over to her son, remembering hearing him boast about his friend's skills.
"Ah, I'm not too bad," Seonghwa chuckles, keeping it modest even though he knows that with his stats he could easily secure a spot on the professional team.
Yunho's father nods and walks up to the door, "Shall we talk more in the car? We have to arrive at the church early, you see, I'm the pastor."
"Of course, sir," Seonghwa smiles and nudges Yunho, who can't hide his blush when Seonghwa's hand brushes against his as they walk to the car.
Once Yunho and Seonghwa are settled in the backseat and his mother and father in the front, Seonghwa is once again pelted by interested questions.
"What's your major, son?"
Seonghwa hits Yunho's knee with his own and Yunho's skin burns from the contact, wishing he could find some kind of excuse to sit in the middle to be closer to Seonghwa, to let their thighs rub together, but he can't. Watching Seonghwa's interaction with his parents makes his stomach do somersaults, filling him up with joy, and he knows that he's falling even harder -- if that's possible.
"I'm studying business administration and plan to become the CEO of my father's company following graduation," Seonghwa explains, letting his knee rest against Yunho's for a few extra seconds this time when he hits it.
