Wanda POV-

We have a mostly quiet drive. Y/N turned down her music to a low level. She has her right hand resting on the gear shifter, her fingers tapping along to the music softly, her left hand holding the steering wheel.

"Turn right up here and you can park anywhere." The size of the Avengers Facility always surprises new people. The main training room overlooks a large green field and the bedrooms look out on the water. Stark did a good job designing it.

Y/N leans forward in her seat slightly to look at the building. Her words come out quiet, "This is amazing." I look over my shoulder to see Peter beaming. I know he loves it here. Y/N pulls into a spot and puts the car in park.

Peter went ahead inside probably to alert Stark. "Are you coming?" Y/N is standing just outside her shut car down still looking at the building. I walk around to the front of her car drawing her attention to me. "Um, yeah, I'm ready." She shakes her head slightly before falling into step with me.

Stark, Nat, Peter, Steve, and Banner are all in the living room talking when we walk in. "Y/N," Stark stands up and meets us halfway. "It is so nice to finally meet you." Y/N seems shocked. "How do you know who I am?" Stark motions for us to all sit down in the living room with the others. "I had you looked into. I have a system set up to locate potential people with abilities. You've stayed off my radar for quite a while until recently."

Y/N keeps biting at the inside of her lip the longer Stark talks until Natasha finally interrupts his rambling. "Can you tell us a little about yourself? Peter mentioned you healed his leg." Y/N's entire demeanor changes as soon as Natasha starts to talk to her. Her posture straightens slightly and her fingers stop fidgeting with the fabric on her jeans.

"Well, I am a healer. From what I have gathered, I age slower than everyone else, and I have enhanced hearing, nothing crazy but more than the usual human." Her rigidness returns as soon as Stark speaks to her. "Parents?" I think Nat is beginning to pick up on it too. "Both dead, died last year at 95 and 96."

Peter is the first to react appropriately, "I am so sorry, Y/N." She nods her head slightly and looks down at her lap. "Y/N, how old are you?" She turns to look at me, her eyes brimming with tears. "Legally or actually?" Everyone lightly laughs at her joke. "Both?" She seems to relax when she looks at me. Her shoulders drop and her voice levels out. "I am legally eighteen, but I was born about sixty years ago."

Now it is starting to make sense. Natasha beats anyone else to asking another question. "Where do you live now since your parents died?" Y/N holds my gaze a second longer before looking over to Nat. "Um, a little townhome close to the high school. My parents paid it off before they died. Until I need to move again, it's home. We moved here about four years ago so I could start as a freshman, again."

Everyone seems to have run out of major questions. Stark checks his watch then phone after getting a notification. "Well, is there any chance we could see you heal something? You know, before I invite you to move in." I had a feeling this is why Stark wanted to meet Y/N. His file on her probably already told him everything she just confirmed.

"Um, of course. Anyone have a cut or something?" Stark locks eyes with me being the closest to Y/N. "Here," I stand up and walk into the kitchen to grab a knife. "I'll just make a small one." I push up my sleeve and bring the blade down to rest on my skin. I take in a deep breath of air before pushing it down into my skin and dragging.

"There," I ended up splitting the skin enough for it to bleed a little but nothing more. I sit back down next to Y/N and offer her my arm. She locks eyes with me before carefully wrapping her hands over the cut and applying some pressure. Everyone's eyes are on her hands as they glow white for a couple seconds. When she pulls them away the minor sting of the cut is gone and with no mark whatsoever left on my skin.

"That is amazing." Y/N looks proud of her ability but her chest tightens for a second as she closes her eyes and releases a shaky breath. "Y/N, I think you could be a real asset to the Avengers." Steve stands up and walks over to her offering his hand to shake. Y/N moves to stand up too. "It would be an honor, I've never really felt like I had a purpose with this ability above healing minor things."

Stark stands up next and waves for Y/N to follow him. Y/N quickly looks at me a certain level of nerves present in her body language. She barely above a whisper says, "Come with us?" I nod my head and we both follow after Stark down the hallway towards the bedrooms. Nat nods her head at me as we walk past with a small smirk on her face.

Y/N POV-

We make it to the end of the hallway and a closed door. "We currently have this room available for you if you would like to move in here. You can train with us to develop your combat skills with your hands and weapons. You could be a real asset to our team if you are willing to join us."

I can feel Wanda standing behind me. Something about her presence leaves me feeling calmer and freer of the thoughts in my head. Stark opens the door to reveal a large room with a queen bed, a wall of windows, a walk in closet, and attached full bathroom. The sun has started to set and is dropping down across the water now.

Wanda's voice draws me out of my trance, "What do you think, Y/N?" Stark is still in the doorway while Wanda is a couple steps behind me in the room. I turn around to face them. "This seems perfect. Yes, I'd love that." My vision was getting slightly blurry as my eyes water. "Perfect, well, I will leave you to it. I'll see you tomorrow at training. If you want to head back to your townhome to get some stuff, you can take a driver or your own car. Up to you. I have to go handle some stuff from the attack we stopped earlier. Goodnight." Stark nods his head then leaves down the hall.

I sit down on the edge of the bed facing the window. "I can't believe this is happening." Wanda steps closer and motions next to me on the bed. "Yeah, please sit." We both sit in silence looking out at the water as the sun finally sets.

"Do you want any help getting some of your things? I can go with you if you want." I'm hyperaware of the fact that Wanda's knee is lightly grazing mine. "Yeah, that would be great. I just need some clothes and stuff." Neither one of us makes any motion to move.

"Do you think I need to sell the townhome? It just has a lot of memories." Wanda's face falls at my comment. "No, you don't have to. If anything, think of it as a place you can escape to or a safe house. I wish I could still visit the house my parents, brother, and I lived in Sokovia. It sounds like it would be worth it to keep it." A single tear rolls down my cheek before I wipe my eyes and stand up. "Okay, well, can we go tonight? It shouldn't take me too long to grab some stuff." Wanda stands up and motions her hand forward. "After you."
