Stone Cold and No More Tears Left To Cry

Wanda POV-

Y/N was screaming for about thirty seconds. Her grip on her head would not drop until she stopped. Banner came running into the warehouse when she started.

"His name was Drew." I look over my shoulder at Tony before returning my attention back to Y/N. "Who is Drew?" Y/N looks mad. Her hands are clenching into fists in front of her. "Why didn't you tell me?" Y/N's voice is getting more aggressive.

"Why did you lie to us? You gave us some bullshit story about your family. How did they fake all that paperwork? I compiled everything I found for you. But this? This information I received with the intel. I kept waiting for you to fess up." Y/N stands up slowly, her eyes are looking past me towards Tony. We can all feel the tension.

"I didn't know, Tony! Why the fuck would I lie? I have no reason to!" She didn't call him, Stark. "You didn't think it was weird that your parents just believed you could heal and had no bad reactions? You're telling me you had no suspicions?" Steve takes a step towards Tony and places his hand on his chest. "Stark, back off."

I step towards Y/N and reach forward placing my hand on her stomach. "Y/N, look at me." Her eyes are still locked on Stark. "Y/N," She takes a step back from me, away from my hand. "Don't say a damn thing about my parents. You have no right."

Nat takes a step forward with me towards Y/N ready to break up this imminent fight. Stark never knows when to shut his mouth. "They weren't even your parents. They were hydra fillers required to monitor and activate you if needed." Y/N's jaw is set tight, her eyes are bright blue even in the dark lighting of the warehouse.

That is Y/N's final straw. She tries to launch forward towards Stark, her gun drawn immediately. I hear the small click of the safety turning off. Nat and I reach forward and grab ahold of her. Steve steps in front of Stark and pushes him back to walk away. "No! Let me at him! He deserves what is coming to him! How dare he and with their one year coming up! You sick son of a bitch, come fight me!" Nat knocks her gun out of her hand causing it to clatter to the ground.

"Wanda," her voice is losing its' fire as she speaks. "Did you know?" I begin to quickly shake my head back and forth. "No, I swear. I didn't know." Nat shakes her head as well.
Tears begin to form in Y/N's eyes as she stops fighting us. "I didn't know. How could they?" She drops forward into my arms. Nat lets go as she wraps both arms around my neck. "I didn't know."

Nat, Y/N, and I walk outside of the building and sit down in the dirt leaning against the siding of the warehouse as we wait. Stark called for the Quinjet to fly over here to load the machine but Y/N needed some air.

"He could have just asked me." Y/N picks at the dirt in front of her as she speaks. I look up at the night sky and let out a deep breath. "He's Stark, he doesn't ever do things the easy way." I can hear the slight hum of the engine from the Quinjet as it gets closer. There is a slight breeze in the air giving the night air a chill factor.

"What does this mean now?" The three of us sit in silence thinking about her question. Nat is the first to speak. "Well, we can help you find out the truth, if you want it." I reach over and place my hand on Y/N's leg next to me. "We can beat up Stark, too." This makes Y/N laugh.

"No, I shouldn't have lunged towards him. He has a right to be defensive. Is that the only reason I was allowed into the facility? Do I need to leave now?" The door behind us opens up and Stark steps through first. He clearly heard some of our conversation. "No, Y/N, I am," he pauses stumbling over his words. "Sorry, I shouldn't have assumed." Y/N nods her head but doesn't say anything. She doesn't owe him an apology.

The Quinjet lands in front of us blowing the tall grass around in the wind from the propellers. Stark turns to me as the pilot drops the hatch door. "Can you help us move it?" I push myself off the ground and follow Stark back inside.
