Y/N POV-
Drew walks us out of the main building and across a small field to one of the housing buildings. "The chips in your arms will get you in the building and into your room."
He motions for us to scan one of our chips. I lean forward running the inside of my arm across the scanner. It lights up green and the door clicks for us to open.
"Room 320, third floor. We gave you guys a corner room with a pretty nice view if I do say so myself." We climb the three flights of stairs and easily find our room.
"Can we just have a minute? I need to use the restroom." Drew lightly throws his hands up in front of him with a chuckle, "Ten minutes. That is all you get. I'll be here." Wanda scans her arm to get us into our room, and we leave Drew standing there.
Wanda and I set our bags down quickly beside the bed. I know we've been thinking the same things since we arrived but I need her confirmation. "What the hell is-?" Wanda shushes me placing her hand on my arm.
She raises her voice slightly louder for anyone listening to hear like Drew, "Bathroom is right there. You can go first." She motions her head towards the bathroom and follows after me clicking shut the bathroom door behind us.
Her eyes quickly turn red as she holds onto my hand. Her voice fills my head, "There are probably cameras or audio recording devices in our room. No talking out loud about anything that isn't one hundred percent hail Hydra."
I nod my head quickly scanning the walls of the bathroom but don't see anything blatantly obvious. We continue talking mentally. "This is strange. They are giving us a lot of liberties. Like keeping my gun? Something seems off. That or they are desperate."
It is Wanda's turn to visibly nod. I look down at my watch. We don't have much time. I talk out loud so Drew can hear some noise. "Wanda, I really do have to pee. I'll be right out." She rolls her eyes, a small smile playing across her lips.
Her breathtaking red eyes are still locked onto mine. "I love you." She squeezes my hand briefly as her eyes fade back to her beautiful green. I mouth back my response, "I love you too." I lightly push her out the door so I can actually use the bathroom. She laughs as I shut the door between us.
I quickly unzip my duffle bag when I get out and grab my gun strapping it across my torso. "You ready?" I pull down my shirt adjusting it then extend my hand for Wanda to take. "Ready as I'll ever be for whatever this test entails."
We walk hand in hand out of our room to find Drew waiting exactly where he said he would. He checks his phone as our door shuts behind us, "Perfect timing, they just brought in who you will be interrogating for your test."
A smug smirk crosses his face as he starts walking back towards the stairs. They want to see what I can do. I look at Wanda next to me, both of us trying to remain emotionless. She squeezes my hand once as we begin to descend the stairs. My only comfort is having her by my side.
Wanda POV-
We knew they would want to see her abilities, to make sure they are investing their time, effort, and money into someone who can do what they want, a real asset. Y/N asks the question we both are thinking, "Only I am going in?" We step out of the housing building and veer left.
"Yep, eventually we will team up but they want to see what you can do individually." He turns his head to look at me, "You can watch from a side room through the mirror. We already know what you can do." They only think they do. I can do a lot more now than I used to when I was a part of Hydra.
Drew's personality keeps moving in and out as we walk. His face will go from sneering at something to looking almost like he is in pain and trying to hide it. His mental stability seems worse than just days ago when he broke into Y/N's townhome.
