Y/N POV-
Backup Wanda's story? What just happened? Drew brings his hand up to his head rubbing between his eyes. "Did I get blindsided?" Wanda kneels down next to me. "We both ran into Noah and when I shot an energy blast you ran into it."
Wanda places her hand on my back as we stand back up. She grabs ahold of my shirt I assume for comfort. I extend my hand towards Drew to help him off the ground. "Oh, okay. Did he get away?"
He begins to look around us at the empty room. "Yes, he ran out the front door." Drew lets go of Y/N's hand and turns around, "Let's go then."
We trail after him out the front door of the warehouse and follow until we arrive back to the street by the van. Specialist Grace is standing next to a man in cuffs along with our driver. "What the hell happened in there? You're lucky we caught him out here."
We walk the last couple of steps to the van before stopping to catch our breaths. Drew answers for us. "We were caught off guard and we had a small mishap. Won't happen again." Specialist Grace raises her eyebrows and cocks her head to the side looking between all of us.
"Better not. Pile in. We have a long drive ahead of us." I grab ahold of Wanda's hand and lead us both into the van first taking the last two seats in the back. I lean in close to her ear as Specialist Grace forces Noah in next.
"Pretend to fall asleep, keep your eyes closed. Hide your glowing hand under my shirt. Show me what happened." Wanda nods her head just enough to show she heard me as Drew and Specialist Grace take their seats and close the door to the van behind them.
Noah remains silent with his hands cuffed in front of him and avoids eye contact with all of us. Drew chose the seat directly next to Noah while Specialist Grace sat next to us.
Noah is not fighting us at all but he also doesn't seem too keen to divulge any secrets either. The van pulls away from the curb as we begin the drive back to the Hydra campus.
Wanda waits about twenty minutes before dropping her head onto my shoulder and shutting her eyes. I keep my hand on her leg while she wraps her arm around behind my back carefully sneaking her hand up under the cover of my shirt.
I can feel her magic move through and up to my brain like a chill. Her voice quickly fills my head, "Good Drew came out to say hi when I blasted him. He wanted for me to kill him right there. He held the barrel to his chest begging me to pull the trigger. He knows his bad side is getting stronger. I'm surprised he didn't try and pull it himself.
Wanda plays the memory of that moment in my head for me to see. He seems desperate and desperate people are unpredictable. Good Drew can see and understand what his other personality is able to do, what he is capable of. He is getting less and less time on the surface as his bad side remains in control. I know he would blame himself if he did something terrible and couldn't stop himself.
We continue talking inside our heads, keeping our conversation private. "What took you so long inside?" I can feel Wanda adjust her head slightly on my shoulder. "You won't believe who I ran into." I lightly squeeze Wanda's leg, our silent code for comforting one another.
"Who else was there?" I can hear a nervous excitement in Wanda's head voice. "Just find the memory in my head. It is easier than explaining it. Plus, she wanted you to see her." I try to relax my mind allowing Wanda to freely search for the memory and pull it forward.
I position my free hand up and onto the arm of my attacker preparing to drop the mental block in my mind to drain when I hear them speak close to my ear, "Y/N, I need you to calm down, it's Nat."
I stop attempting to free myself and let go of her arm. She releases her grip around my neck. "Nat?" I turn around and jump forward into her arms holding onto her tightly. It has only been a couple of days since I last saw her but it has felt like a lifetime.
