Y/N POV-
It almost feels like time slows down as Wanda throws punch after punch and kick after kick. Her tells are too loud that I can anticipate every move she keeps making. "Y/N! Stop playing defensive!" Wanda gets distracted by Nat's words leaving me an opening.
I shoot forward into Wanda's space and launch a punch to her exposed stomach followed by placing my right foot behind her leading foot. I grab ahold of her arm closest to me and push my weight forward. She very quickly loses her balance and drops to the mat. A huff of air leaves her lungs as time seems to speed back up.
"Wanda," I kneel down next to her and grab ahold of her hand. "Are you okay?" She is my distraction. I am exposed. She flips her leg next to me and throws my body pinning me down to the ground, my hands above my head. "You're not going to get away that easy, Y/N."
Wanda's hair has started to pull out of her pony. Her cheeks are red, and she is breathing heavy. She holds me to the ground for another second before letting go of my hands, a huge grin covering her face.
I hear the click of the far door opening as the boys walk into the room. "Woah!" Peter very quickly goes to cover his eyes, the innocent one. Steve laughs at Peter as they all walk into the room. Wanda climbs off of me and offers me her hand helping me off the ground.
Nat leans in close to me after I stand up. "You did good, Y/N, until you were distracted that is." She pulls back and winks at me before turning her attention to Steve, Stark, and Peter. The boys all look tired but Steve speaks up, "How was your training session so far?"
Wanda answers for us. "Good, probably going to spar a little more then call it for the day." Stark looks around at all of us. "That will be a good way to end training for the day. Peter spar with Natasha, Wanda with Y/N, and Steve you're with me."
We all split up with our partners and go to our own sections of the room. Wanda walks in step with me to the far corner by the windows. She lightly bumps into my shoulder. "How's your back today?" Her words are quiet. "Mostly healed up. The smaller one is completely gone." I don't mention that I felt the bigger one rip open when I struck the punching bag in a weird way earlier. It is why I settled on a black tank top for today.
"Gloves on or off?" Wanda has hers in her hands waiting on my answer. "How about just wraps?" She nods her head and throws her gloves off to the side. "Now, don't go easy on me, Y/N. I can take it. I know you were holding back earlier." I don't want to hurt her, and I think she knows that.
"Ready?" Her stance is just a tad bit too wide for her frame but she has her hands in a good position to protect her body. "Ready."
Wanda POV-
I noticed the punching bag in Y/N's living room area last night but didn't think much of it. She definitely downplayed her ability to fight. She can block everything I throw at her. "Here, stop." Y/N reaches out and grabs my hand lightly. "You have a tell. You move you hand slightly forward then back before you punch. Try and hold it steady before you punch. It'll be harder for me to see coming."
She lets go of my hand and takes a small step back. I nod at her acknowledging her statement. "Thank you, ready?" She nods her head. "Go for it."
I manage to get a couple good hits in on Y/N turning our sparing into a good but intense match. She brings her arm back to swing for my head while faking a punch to my torso. I have managed to block her attacks so far but not this one. While standing back up, her fist connects right with the side of my head knocking me back.
Y/N's stern game face immediately drops as I stumble backwards. "Wanda," she steps forward and moves my hand away from my face. "Shit," she lifts her thumb to the outside of my eyebrow, "I split it." I look down to my fingers and see the small amount to of blood on them. My adrenaline is still pumping so I don't even feel it.
"Let me heal it, please, otherwise you're going to need stitches." Y/N grabs a towel from the windowsill that we brought over with our waters and places it against my face. "I can take some stitches, Y/N. It'll give me a nice scar." I sit down against the wall and Y/N kneels down in front of me still holding the towel to my face.
Y/N POV-
"Hey, everyone okay?" I turn around to see Natasha and Peter walking towards us. "Yeah, Wanda stepped into my punch, and I split her eyebrow. I was just about to heal her." Wanda tries to make the joke again. "Come on, let me earn a scar."
She is trying to avoid me having to heal her but I don't care. "Don't be silly. It is what I am here for." Stark and Steve come walking over right as I pull the towel away from her face. "Hold still," I lightly place three fingers over the cut and close my eyes to focus on the same spot as before. I have found that it seems to hurt the least on my back.
"Y/N," I quietly shush her as my hand glows white. I pull my fingers away after a few seconds and the cut is gone, no mark at all. "See? Good as new." I strain my words as I close my eyes and focus on my breathing as the new mark cuts into the side of my back. It was deep; she would have needed stitches. Thankfully, all of the avengers are behind me and can't see my face, but Wanda does.
I stand up and offer Wanda my hand. "Good match, Wanda." She throws on a fake smile as she takes my hand letting me help her off the ground. I turn around to everyone else, "Well, I think I am going to go shower. Is there anything else you had planned for today, Stark?"
Everyone is staring at Wanda's healed eyebrow. Healers are rare, so I have read. It probably is going to take awhile for them to get used to my ability. "No, just some paperwork for me. But, we have to talk about what you want to do about school." I nod my head.
My confidence is wavering as my adrenaline continues to wear down making it harder to hide the pain. "Yeah, sounds good. Can I just come find you later?" He nods his head. "I'll be in my office." Everyone goes their separate ways, but Wanda follows me back to my room.
She waits to speak until she has shut the door. "Really, Y/N? I could have let it heal naturally, and it would have been fine." She has her hand on her hip as she talks to me clearly frustrated. "Wanda, I wanted to heal you. It is not that bad, and I don't want to be the reason your face gets scarred."
She really isn't going to drop it. "It is my fault that I misjudged your punch. I deserved it." Her walls are dropping. "Wanda, you don't deserve any pain, let alone pain I inflicted." My words seem to strike a nerve with her. "And you do?"
Her eyes are watery as she drops her hand from her hip and steps closer to me. Her voice breaks as she speaks, "What happened to make you think that you need to take away others pain at the expense of your own?" This isn't about her; this is about me. She just wants to understand.
"Can I shower first? You can stay in here, I just need to get out of these clothes." I need to clean the blood off my skin before she asks to see the marks. "Yeah, I'll go change and be here when you are done, okay?" I nod my head. She looks fearful to take her eyes off me. She walks to the door and slips out with one last glance my way.
