Y/N POV-

I hear Wanda's voice as I begin to come to. She sounds mad, her accent is coming out thicker than it normally does. "Wanda," my body still feels weak. It takes her a second to turn around. I look around the room as I finally manage to open my eyes up fully. I am laying on a leather couch somewhere I don't know.

"Y/N," Wanda's eyes are red initially but they turn back to their beautiful green color as she drops down in front of me. She throws her arms around my neck and begins crying as I wrap my arms around her back holding her against me. I can only imagine how she felt seeing me like that. I start talking into her ear to help soothe her, "Hi, babe. I'm okay. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere."

I look over her shoulder and see Hayde sitting on another couch. Steve and Nat are standing near the entryway. Nat's eyes look watery as she locks eyes with me giving a slight head nod in my direction.

Wanda pulls back but keeps her hands on me. I lift my hands up to her face and lightly wipe away the couple of tears that are still falling. I can see it in her face the moment she goes from sad back to mad. "How dare you? What the hell were you thinking?" She smacks her hand down on to my arm. "I was scared I was never going to see you again!"

I place my arms next to me on the couch and push myself up so I am sitting. "I'm sorry, Wanda." I take her hand and pull her up off the floor to sit next to me. She willingly joins me as I wrap my arm around her shoulders holding her against me. I whisper it again in her ear, "I'm sorry." I know we'll talk about it later but she just needs comfort right now.

My chest still feels tight and sensitive to the touch. It should start healing soon hopefully. I kiss the side of Wanda's head before turning my attention to the rest of the room. "First question, where are we?"

Steve goes over everything that happened on his side of things since I passed out and Nat does the same starting at when I ran off. Wanda stays silent next to me letting them speak for her. I glance over at Hayde every once in a while but he keeps his eyes down in his lap or looking at Wanda. He looks scared.

The conversation dies down as we all turn to Hayde. "So, can you tell us now?" Something happened earlier while I was still passed out. You can feel the tension in the room towards Hayde. "Only if Y/N says yes."

I can tell Wanda is getting fired up again next to me. Her shoulders have locked up, and I spot a small red whisp floating around her fingers. I push her shoulders forward slightly with my arm and move it down to around her waist. She loosens her shoulders with the extra contact and the red whisp disappears.

I direct my attention towards Hayde, "Yes, this is my family. Anything you have to say, they should hear as well." Hayde glances nervously around the room at everyone before settling his eyes on me again, the prime focus of his story.

"Um, I guess I'll begin from the very beginning then." All of us nod our heads. This is going to be a long story but this should finally give me some answers to my past. This is the man who my parents left info for so I could contact. They wouldn't have gone through the amount of effort they did for nothing if it wasn't worth it.

"Y/N, you and Drew were orphans. Hydra often attempts to find individuals without a background, with no one. This provides them normally less weaknesses, no ties. You and Drew were no different."

Nat pipes in breaking up his story, "Were they siblings?" He shakes his head. "No, according to their birth certificates, they were born three days apart. The ideal number. It symbolizes past, present, future. Birth, life, death. Hydra had been searching for the perfect candidates to test their new machine. They called it Project Taijitu referencing Yin and Yang."
