You finished the dishes and peaked around the corner and saw Darry reading the paper on your couch, under the blankets.
You really enjoyed your new life in college. Obviously, Darry couldn't go because he had to look after Ponyboy and Soda, but he'd visit you whenever he wasn't busy with work or the boys.
You walked over to Darry and crawled under the blankets right beside him, snuggling close to him. You moved his arm so that it was wrapped around you as Darry continued to read.
"Darry," you said in a baby voice.
Darry set the paper down and looked at you, smiling, "yes, sweetie?"
"I missed you."
Darry pulled you onto his lap and kissed your head, "yeah?"
You nodded and leaned into his chest, muttering, "I love you."
Darry kissed you once again, "I love you too, baby."
