Part 38

Nik headed out to do some mafia business as I'm supposed to go meet with a buyer who wants me to fence something for them.

Fencing something illegally is extremely dangerous and if your not experienced and skilled it won't end well for you.

I didn't know that I was supposed to meet with this buyer when I changed but I couldn't be bothered to change again, although I did be sure to carry a lot of weapons and some bodyguards with me.

I ate breakfast with Diana and Elira who we actually all got on pretty well together and then I headed out.

"My deals are I flip it and take 15% it never changes" I take a drink of my milkshake, we were sitting outside a local restaurant discussing the terms of the deal

"I've heard about you always scamming people" she raised an eyebrow "I'm trying to make sure that doesn't happen here too"

I shrugged not denying the truth and patiently waited. She was lucky I'm in a good mood today.

"Okay" she clasped her hands together passing me an envelope discretely.

"My bank details are in there" she gave me a nod as I got up and walked away, the body guards following after me.

I headed back to the warehouse really quickly to get some more stuff since I've literally moved into Niks apartment and then headed back to the apartment sitting on a kitchen stool with the envelope in front of me debating whether I should answer this phone call from aunt liz

"Hello" I answered. I was hoping and desperately clinging onto the fact that I hoped she didn't know the truth and kept it from me

Before she even got the chance to reply I spoke "did you know" I asked

"Did I know what amore" she asked softly

"About Hazel"

"Hazel?" She asked confused "what are you talking about Phoenix

"Why was me Astraea and Aries sent to live with you" I bit my lip

"They didn't give me reason sweetheart what's this about" Her tone reminded me of when I used to get angry when I was younger and she would to try and calm me down

"They all lied to me" I gave her a brief explanation of what happened hearing her gasp

"I'm so mad at them Phoenix I swear to you I never knew" her voice trembled in shock

I didn't know how to reply to that so I stayed silent "I'm coming down there right now" she muttered

"Liz you don't have to-" I began not wanting to ruin her day

"Of course I do I'll book an apartment and text you when I'm here" she ended the phone soon after that

I opened the envelope in front of me and took out a small black leather bag containing 3 tiny million dollar diamonds

I took out multiple testing kits so I could see it's authenticity and if they're real or not.

As I was doing so Nik walked in and started making something, minutes later placing a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich in front of me taking the stool opposite me

"What are those for" he asked munching on his own sandwich

"To sell" I muttered "I'm fencing them, they were stolen a few years back and fencing them is an easy way to make a quick bit of money" i eyed him, laughing a bit at the spotty tie I forced him to wear this morning

I left the partner after that and sneakily passed on the little bag to the buyer as they passed me back a credit card full of the money.

I went to the nearest ATM and took out my cut transferring the rest to the ladies credit card.
