Part 40

Slightly groaning I shielded my eyes from the light as my eyes began to adjust

"putain d'enfer" I sighed gearing the familiar heart monitor and the feeling of a drip connected to my skin
(Fucking hell)

"Thought you wouldn't wake up" a voice spoke making my handle instinctively go to my thigh where my dagger is supposed to be

"Relax darling it's just me" Nik spoke holding a book from the chair next to my bed, he had dark eye abs under his eyes and his hair was a mess as though he'd run his hands through it one to many times

"How long have I been out for" I spoke my voice scratchy as Nik passed me a cup of water and put his book on the table next to me

"Two days, you passed out from low blood pressure and sugar levels. The doc says it was most probably from the overload of stress and emotional strain" he looked at me worriedly

"You know what happened to Liz" i croaked

"Yeah" his hands twisted one of his rings around his finger

"Your siblings found out you were in hospital and tried to visit you, I called security on them though" he yawned

I scooted to the left side of my bed closest to the window and tapped the space beside me making him shake his head "you should rest"

"Shush idiot it's obvious you haven't got much sleep just come here" instead of laying next to me he lightly put his head on stomach and closed his eyes.

One of my hands ran through his hair as the other picked up the book he was reading and read the words to him soothingly

"Don't scare me like that again" he murmured gripping me tighter seconds before falling asleep.I took a moment to observe him whilst he slept.

He was beautiful

And I mean that with all my heart. He had a few freckles lightly scattered around his tanned face, his plump lips were naturally parted as he breathed and his forehead had a few curls in front of that never seemed to stay back.

Eventually I put the book down and stopped reading to him and got some more sleep.

"Wake up motherfuckers" the sound of a crisp packet being shaken was heard as I felt a heavy weight on top of me, Niks warm breathing being felt on my neck causing my breathing to increase.

"Fuck" Nik groaned nuzzling his head further into my neck where in ticklish, I laughed a bit making him pull his out back and smile at me

"Boo hoo motherfuckers some of us single we don't wanna see this shit" Elira groaned pushing Alfie in a wheelchair with a bag in her hand

"We got you both outfits you should both shower and change then speak to a nurse we'll meet you for breakfast in an hour. We have to go hide from that crazy nurse" She instructed

"Bye bitches" Alfie screamed being wheeled out as a nurse came running in seconds later spinning her head wildly looking for something before she ran out

"What the fuck" Nik looked at me as I shrugged "it's to early for this shit" I'm pretty sure we slept like a whole 24 hours

"There's a ball in two days and everyone wants to go. If you want some time to yourself" he began before I put my finger on his warm and soft lips

"I'll be fine the only thing now is my outfit" should I wear a dress or a suit?

"I can sort that out for you" he suggested with a slick and sneaky smile

"Sure" i pecked him on the lips without even noticing and got up to get the bag Elira out clothes in for me as Nik sat on the bed shocked I did that
