How I Survived

Part 54

I sat in one of the cars and sped off the location in mind

It was thundering outside and the echo of it was heard everywhere

My phone rang and I couldn't decide if I should answer it or not

"Nyx darling I'm sorry I couldn't call earlier I had a meeting" Nikolai's voice spoke, the sound of it calmed my breathing significantly as I bit my lip to stop it from wobbling

"Darling?" He questioned with a bit of urgency

"Hey Nikolai" I sniffed trying to make it out like nothing was wrong

"What happened Phoenix"

"A lot happened listen I have to go do something but I'll call you back" I put the phone on speaker as I sped through the wet roads furiously

"Phoenix calm down okay, talk to me before you hurt yourself" I'm guessing he could hear the sound of the car going so fast

"I'm angry" I shouted "I'm angry and I'm scared and I'm frustrated and I'm blood thirsty" I took a sharp turn, the sound of the wheels screeching across the floor being heard

"Xavier fucking Salvatore is going to die" i hissed running a red light

"Fuck" I shouted

There were 4 SUVs following after me, Xavier probably thought I was running with the USB

"Phoenix, where are you I'll send some of my men" Niks extremely worried voice crackled trough the phone

"I-I don't know" what was happening to me?

This was all to much

Gunshots ran out as I ducked my head swerving to avoid the bullets

"Fuck Phoenix are you okay, Phoenix talk to me" I could hear people talking on the other side of the phone as tried desperately to avoid the oncoming slaughter of bullets

"Nikolai" I murmured realising I was stuck in a dead end

"Phoenix my men are coming and Monteverde agents just hold on love"

It's too late

"I'm so in love with you you know" I laughed watching as the alley way wall neared, the brakes were haywire and there was no way of stopping the car or turning around, the space was to narrow

"You make me question everything I ever feel about love. You make me feel reckless and out of control; I am infuriatingly and inexplicably drawn to you"

There wasn't much time left

I didn't give him the chance to talk as I spoke one last time "you showed me my worth you know. I used to think there was only 2 types of loves: the kind you would kill for and the kind you would die for. But you my darling are the kind I would live for, I wouldn't have been able to survive any of this without you idiota" I rushed out focusing on the wall I was about to crash into me

"Till every star in the galaxy dies Nikolai"

And for once I didn't have to fight, I didn't have to control or hide or suppress my feelings

I felt nothing
Emptiness

Also can we talk about how I'm on a role updating today, my imagination is running wild
