Drying the water off of my face I took a few deep breaths as I prepared to go out there.

It was Rose's funeral now.

4 hours since Elijahs death and four hours of me feeling like the world is weighing down on my soldiers. I've been talking to the remaining members of the team and making sure there mental health is as good as it can be at the moment.

I'm exhausted for trying to be stronger than I feel.

Walking out the toilet and into the service area I took a seat at the back. Leonardo and Aries came with me today and so they were sat on the second row.

It was a small service, not a lot of people were here, maybe 15?

Hearing the pastor go on and on in his talk I took a moment to remind myself how cruel this world is and how no matter what happens I won't let anymore Rose's happen in my control.

"Does anyone want to say a few words"

Fifteen minutes of talks and speeches past as she was lowered and people started to file out.

Getting out from my seat at the back I walked towards the patch of earth that was recently just placed back in the earth and took a seat in front of it.

"Hi" I muttered "I wish things could have turned out differently you know, maybe we all could have escaped with our lives and everything would be so much better"

"You remind me of someone you know, she was um actually she was named after a flower like you" I smiled weakly as rain began falling from the sky "she had this- had this fire in her eyes like you did when he stabbed you"

"I'd like to think you've met her already and are watching me from above, she used to tell me that one day when she'd leave the earth she'd turn into the prettiest of stars, perhaps you have to"

More and more rain began hitting me harshly and thunder could be heard in the background "I will never forget you flower and I promise to bring down those who wronged you" I paused for a second "because no one hurts my family and gets away with it"

I was now absolutely drenched with rain, i guess that was a good thing, you couldn't see the difference between the rain and my tears.

Feeling the weight of something covering me I looked up seeing Niks hand drop the jacket on me, covering my shoulders as rain hit down on us harshly.

No words were spoken as he sat beside me, shoulders touching and rain splattering everywhere around us.

We sat there for probably around half an hour, together, until he pulled something out of his pocket.

It was a pack of flower seeds

Emptying the pack onto his hand he silently offered me to take some.

Together we each planted flowers on top of her grave.

Closing the soil on top of seed and giving it a pat we made eye contact with each other, a thousands words shared but not one spoken.

"Do you wanna do something?" We drove through the empty streets, windows fogging up from our warm breath

"We could get in trouble though" he smirked as my eyes lit up

Parking at a street a few blocks away from his surprise location we got out and side by side walked together.

Arriving at the museums back entrance he pulled a key out of his pocket and unlocked it, gesturing for me toe enter first "I'm not even going to ask how you got that"

20 minutes later and we were laughing together at some weird ass statue thing "hello, is someone there?" We saw a flashlight point our way as Nik grabbed my hand and we sprinted away.

We ran down the dimly lit museum hallway, heads shaking in laughter, heart alive and hands clutching each other's.

For once i didn't feel like the whole world was weighted on my shoulders, I didn't have to worry about someone i cared about being killed right now. I could just be me.

"Shhh" he grinned wildly at me as we both stood side by side in the little gift shop we took refuge in.

I picked up a snow globe with a little cabin in and gave it a little shake "you like it" he stood behind me, the hairs on my neck threatening to rise and goosebumps about to form, i could feel his warm breath on me.

"It's pretty"

He took the snow globe from me and put it in a cute little box, tying a ribbon around it. Walking over to the payment area he took out a little gift bag and put it inside as i chuckled a bit.

He added a few extra stuff like random ass pens and then gave it to me, gauging my reaction, seemingly proud of himself, i went over to a hand sized teddy bear he was looking at earlier and picked it up doing the same thing as he did just with a different object.

"Hey! You too! Stop right there!"

"Lets go cmon" i bursted out laughing as we ran out the museum into the rain.

The rain trickled down our bodies as we stared at each other, with giddy smiles on our faces.

Who would have thought two people who were raised as weapons, to kill without second thought and no regret, who were rumoured to be emotionless and known worldwide as merciless would be standing here in the rain laughing like 6 year olds.

It was that moment when I realised that that was what true happiness felt like.
