"No! Don't- Don't touch me!" Nikolai screamed, flinching away from Phoenixs touch.
Nikolais eyes were wild, his breathing fast and shallow, his whole body trembling in uncontrollable fear.
"I'm not going to hurt you love" Phoenix said, gently taking him by the hand and holding it firmly. Their eyes met.
"Listen to me. You safe and she isn't going to hurt you again. I'm here now. Trust me I won't let anybody hurt you."
Phoenix almost expected Nikolai to yank his hand away in panic, but he didn't - instead he relaxed a little, tears forming in his eyes, him letting out a breath "i..."
"It's okay" she smiled pulling Nikolai into a hug he didn't resist "it's okay I'm here"
Nikolais Pov:
I felt safe in her embrace
All toxic masculinity aside the reason I used to fall asleep with her was because she made me feel safe. Protected.
It's been a while since I'd had a nightmare and usually after one I would go work out or do some mafia work which was extremely unhealthy
Now Phoenix would read to me and soothe me, she'd play music using my record player and the feeling calms me down immensely.
I woke up a couple of hours later, dreading waking up Phoenix because of how pissed she gets in the morning but we both had things to do today
"Fuck off" she groaned kicking almost pushing me off the bed
"Come on you little shit" I grabbed her like how you hold a baby taking her to our bathroom
"Bloody hell" she literally tried sleeping on the counter making me snicker
"Bloody hell" I mocked her giving her her toothbrush with some toothpaste on
We both made weird faces in the mirror trying to make the other laugh. We spat out our toothpaste as she finished before me, slapping my ass and then winking making me smile as she ran out
I'm so fucking whipped
"What are you doing today" I asked picking her an outfit as she picked me one
