Chapter 4.1 Making Life Make Sense

Daphne had to take a break to have a drink. Talking sense into Tanya was exhausting and giving her a headache. She grabbed the bottle of vodka and pour herself a drink.  She added some cranberry juice to her glass and took a sip.  "Sorry you cant have any, you are pregnant," she joked. But this was anything but funny. She offered Tanya some of the cranberry juice.          

"Look, I know that you want to fix your marriage,  but at this point I don't know if its even salvageable. There is just too much going on here Tanya. Maybe you should just give him space to cool down...make him miss you a while." Daphne advised.  

Tanya didn't agree with giving Eric space.  Deep down she was afraid that he would go fuck around to get even with her.  Yes she wanted him to cool down but she could only work on her marriage if she was in the marriage, she thought.  Aunt Daphne didn't think  Tanya  had a marriage anymore. 

"Don't be surprise if Eric takes that baby away from you and ostracize you.  I know that mother of his will push him to do just that. She hates you, don't be naïve, you have to know that she is behind these photographs.  I believe she hired a detective to watch you ever since the day she found out that you married her son and like a fool you fell right into her trap." Aunt Daphne pointed out.

"Eric is his own person, If he wasn't we would not be married. He is not going to listen to his mother." Tanya said.

Daphne laughed as if she knew something that Tanya did not.  "You  underestimate Sahita.  and that is why you are in deep shit now."

"Do you think Eric's father was crazy in love with Sahita? No, she tricked him by getting pregnant with Eric.  He didn't know what hit him. She wanted Rick and did everything she could to get him. Sahita will do anything...and I mean anything it takes to get her son away from you,"  Daphne warned.

"I hear Mom talking about you and Eric's father dating in high school and that they all thought that you would end up marrying him. What happen Aunty?" Tanya asked

Daphne wiped away a tear from her eye.  "Life happened Tanya, or I should say Sahita happened.  She claimed that she was pregnant for Rick. I did not believe it because I knew that she was screwing someone else , but all that is history now," Daphne said.

"Are you saying that Eric is not Mr. Willbrooks son?" Tanya asked. 

"Is that what you hear? Look, I don't know the answer to that. Rick went there or else she could not call his name.   All I am saying is that woman is not someone you want to butt head with. You are hard headed. Your parents tried to keep you away from that boy and that family but you went  head on and entangle yourself with them.  Your father got killed because of them and you still wont listen to what I am telling you," Daphne said.  

"I know Sahita hates me, but Eric loves me," Tanya defended her stance.

"You think you know the Willbrooks clan? If you cross them they will make you wish you were never born.  You think your ass is in pain now? Just wait until Eric learns of this baby," Daphne warned.

Tanya was in tears. "I don't know what to do," Tanya responded.

"You said he doesn't know that you are pregnant, you could use this as an out.  I have a friend in a neighboring island you could stay with her until you decide what you want to do," Aunt Daphne said.

"Tanya laughed. "And who is underestimating who now? There is no where on earth that Eric would not find me," Tanya said. "And besides I could not run off with his child like that. I could not do that and live with myself," Tanya said.

"And you think you can live with him now that he knows about you and this Luke boy and now a baby he will have doubt is his?" Daphne asked.

"I don't know, but I cant run...and abortion is out of the question, If I did that and he finds out that would be the end of everything;  either he would think that I really slept with Luke or  he would think that I aborted his baby," Tanya said.
