Eric and Tanya attend the Annual  Music Award dinner and show:

Eric was home early so they could get an early start up to the Capital.  He walked in with his face clean shaven and Tanya almost cried.  She knew that he promised to do it but she never thought that he would.  Tanya mentioned to him that her aunt was going to the music award  too.

Eric shook his head. "I swear that woman is like  salt," he said

Tanya looked at him puzzled at his comment. "Salt?" she asked

"Just as salt is  in everything ; she is into everything," he responded

Tanya did not get it.  "Look can we sit together....with Aunt Daphne I mean," Tanya asked.

"Tanya the seating arrangements are already finalized; they wont change it just so you can sit with your aunt," he said.

Tanya walked away and pouted.  Eric shook his head.  He thought that she was like a damn kid, always had to have things her way.  "Look I will see what I can do; I am not promising anything though," he said.

Tanya rushed to him and hugged him.  "Thanks," she told him.

Very little was said as they traveled by car to the capital. Out of the blue Tanya asked  for the necklace that she gave him years ago.  Eric looked at her surprised at her question. He kept quiet.

"Well? Did you throw it in the garbage because it has my name on it?" Tanya asked.

"No Tanya, I have it," he said. She knew better than to ask him why he never wore it anymore. He turned up the volume on the car stereo.

"I need  a necklace with a nameplate," she said. Eric looked at her and wondered what was going on.  Was it hormones? She seems to be always looking for a fight over some petty shit.

"Do you want back the one you gave me?" Eric asked.  The necklace she gave him had her nameplate attached.  He stopped wearing it  after the big fight they had when she came back from New York.

"That was a gift Eric; I know it means nothing to you anymore but the meaning behind why I gave it to you still stands. I could never take it back," Tanya said.

"Look if you want a necklace I will get you one," he said with a tone of annoyance in his voice.

He resumed listening to his music as Tanya read and correct her student's papers.

They arrived in the Capital later that evening.  Tanya watched as he checked them into the hotel.  The hotel was busy  with people checking in for the awards event that night.   Eric opened their  hotel room and showed her into the suite, a king size suite, one bed. Tanya looked at him and he looked back at her.

"What?" he asked.

"Nothing," she said but he never cease to amaze her.  Whenever they traveled, he insisted on a suite with  a kingsize bed that they shared, yet at home he refused to sleep in the same bed with her.  Maybe they should live in a hotel, she thought.

Tanya walked out into the sitting area where Eric was getting ready. She was dressed in the most elegant flowey emerald green gown,  that minimize  her pregnant bump; It had plunging necklines and a sexy opening all the way up one leg.  Eric mouth just dropped open at how beautiful she looked and that beautiful head of naturally curly hair done in an up do made her look like a godesss, he thought. Tanya noticed immediately  his emerald green shirt  that matched her gown perfectly. That was one of the shirts she bought him for Christmas.  Tanya took over and helped him with his tie. They looked at each other knowing perfectly well what the other was thinking. The ensemble they wore could not be more coordinated if they had planned it.
