Tanya looked at the note from Luke.   "I need to see you before I leave," the note read.  There was an address and phone  number  where he could be reached.   She  memorized the note then walked over to the stove and burned it.  She ran to her car.  She wished that she could just run and not look back but she could never leave her daughter and Eric knew that.

Tanya drove around a bit, contemplating if she should go to the address on the note.

Meanwhile Eric  paced the floor as he waited for news and deep down he prayed that Tanya was with the mother fucker. He was itching for news that the fucker was dead. The call came back and Eric was told that Tanya was at Sharon's.  "Stay close and let me know of any changes," Eric said.  Luke would never know how close he came to losing his life that night.

Eric relaxed with his daughter. It was way after midnight before Tanya returned. Eric was in Tanya's  suite asleep with the baby on his chest. He opened his eyes as she walked into the room. She picked up the baby from Eric's chest.

"She is bathed and fed," Eric told Tanya.

"You ok?" he asked.

She ignored him and continued to cuddle and kissed her sleeping daughter.

"I feel like a swim; want to join me?" Eric asked.

"For another quick fuck? No thanks," she said and walked away.

Eric gave Tanya a big surprise for her 22nd birthday. Ever since their last sexual encounter, Eric had not stop showering Tanya with gifts.  It was one surprise after the next but all she really wanted was  a stable life.  She would catch him from time to time watching her.  She wished that she knew what he was thinking.

The morning Tanya turned  22, she had no idea what was in store for her. She thought that  Eric would get her more jewelry that she didn't need. When she went downstairs, there was a huge box on the dining room table. It was wrapped in gift wrappings.  Becky told her that Mr. E, left it there for her. Becky always called Eric Mr. E. There was a card with it. Tanya quickly opened the card. It was very plain, nothing like she use to get from him. In bold letters, it said, "Happy Birthday, Look carefully inside the box." There was no "I love you."  Tanya felt disappointed but she followed his instructions. She opened the box ; Becky looked on while Ericka tried to help her mother.  Ericka was having a lot of fun playing and chewing  on the paper as Tanya pulled it from the box.

Tanya went through the box and found nothing. She was puzzled.  Tanya knew Eric well enough to know that this was a coded message and he was trying to tell her something.

Tanya carefully went through the papers again. Then she found it. There was a key wrapped up in a piece of paper with another note. The note said, "Look outside." Tanya took the key and raced outside with Becky and Ericka following behind her. A brand new car was parked in the drive way next to her old car. Tanya screamed.  She ran to the car, jumped in and turned it on. It was a brand new Audi as  blue as  the ocean and the interior  smelt  so yummy. Tanya ran back inside and called Eric at work.  She could hardly contain her excitement.

"So you found your surprise?" Eric asked.

"It took some doing, but I did," Tanya said. "Thanks so much, I just love it," she said all excited. Eric smiled to himself.  If he had given her a box of candy, she would be just as happy.
