Next Morning when Eric got to the office, his mother was waiting for him. He was in a shitty mood from getting little sleep the night before. After what Tanya told him, he lay for hours wondering if his mother did fuck with his mind.  He tried to recall everything that ever happen to him since he was eleven.  Sahita could not have picked a worst time to visit him. The mood that he was in, he was likely to just explode at her. She was the reason for his lack of sleep the night before and here she was. "Mom? What are you doing here?" Eric asked.

"I got very little sleep Eric...I was worried about you...about the fight we had. Do you still love me?" she asked.

Eric smiled a smile that didn't reach his eyes. "And why wouldn't I still love you mother? Now that is a strange question to ask; what could you have done for you to think that I stop loving you?" Eric asked.

'Mother? Why is he calling me that? He knows, he knows; but how could he know?'

"And I hope you understand that it's because I love you so much that I do what I do; I don't want to see anyone hurting you or walking over you," Sahita said.

"Anyone hurting me? You hurt me; how could you Mom?" Eric asked.

"How could I what? Talk to me if you talking to me Eric; I am not a mind reader to know what you mean," Sahita said.

"How could you say the shit you said about my kid in public?" Eric asked.

"What kid? Do you have a kid I don't know about?" Sahita said playing coy.

Eric slammed his fist on the desk and Sahita almost jumped out of her chair. Eric pointed at his mother. "You know damn well what you did and you know damn well which kid I am talking about," Eric said.

"Eric keep your voice down.  I don't want your father coming in here," Sahita said.

"I should let him take your car away; why did you do it? Why did you tell the world that Tanya's baby is not mine? Why Mom?" Eric asked.

"But I am not lying; that baby is not yours Eric," Sahita said. Eric paced the floor holding his head

"How do you know that Mom? How? If you know something that I don't know then tell me now or don't ever bring this shit up to me ever again," Eric said.

"You need to trust me on this son; that baby is not yours," Sahita insisted.

"Trust you? I don't know who to trust anymore; thanks to you I have lost all trust in the woman I love; do you know what that is like?" Eric asked.

"Don't you blame me for opening your eyes to the obvious; she cheated on you Eric; I did not make her do that," Sahita defended herself.

"And how can you be so sure the kid is not mine when I slept with my wife? How? Tell me how," Eric asked.

"Ok Eric, lets wait and see;  the evidence will be here soon enough when that baby comes," Sahita said.

"You don't understand do you? It does not matter what or who the kid  looks like Mom; its mine," Eric said.

Sahita gasped. "I understand what you are doing Eric; you don't really care if that kid is yours, do you? You intend to take ownership of that kid regardless of what we both know to be true," Sahita said. "You are so obsessed with that gal that you are willing to accept a child that you know is not yours; well I refuse to be a grandmother to a kid that is not yours."

"I am not asking you to be anything to my child Mom; what I am asking you to do is stop spreading wild tales that will be a stigma to my child," Eric shouted.
