Chapter 31. Dare vs. Dare

The summer following  Ericka's birth, Julia hosted  a high school reunion......on the island.  It was Julia's idea for a beach party  with most of their friends  from high school.   Tanya mentioned to Eric that she wanted to go and he looked at her rather suspiciously.  He hated Julia almost as much as he hated Luke for what happen with Tanya in New York.   To her surprise  he told her that she could go  and even volunteered to watch Ericka.  

Eric was sure that Tanya would never take off  and leave Ericka. But she had to tell him exactly where she was going.  Tanya  was looking hotter and sexier than ever.  He made a call.  The person on the other end picked up on the first ring.  Eric was impressed.  "My most prized possession is about to fly the coup; keep an eye out and let me know  everything that goes down," Eric spoke  into the phone then hang up. 

Tanya was so happy to see all her friends from high school.  She showed off  Ericka's pictures.   

"Wow  she is beautiful.  Is she this light in person? Wait a minute what color are  her eyes?" Julia asked.  

"To be honest, they change all the time," Tanya said. 

"She looks so much like Eric or Luke?" Julia teased.  

"What are you implying?" Tanya asked all annoyed at Julia.  

"I was just kidding," Julia said.   

"Well just so you know, I never slept with Luke," Tanya said.  

"She is right," said a very familiar voice behind her. 

Tanya turned around and was in shock to see Luke; Julia never mentioned that he would be there.  'Was she trying to get someone killed?'

"Hi Princess" Luke said as they stared at each other.  

'What If Eric showed up now'  was all Tanya  could think of.   Luke reached for Ericka's picture.

He looked at the picture. "A princess just like her mom?" he said.

"I  worry constantly about  you." Luke said.  

"No need to; I am doing fine." Tanya  said.

"Good to know; I met your aunt Daphne in the States, very nice lady, but very inquisitive; she wanted to know everything about me and my Mum," Luke laughed.

'So that is where she and Sunday went....to see if Eric and Luke were the same person'

Tanya smiled to herself. Well they could  put that theory to bed, because this was not the same man she just left at home with her baby, Tanya thought.  Luke was shirtless and he was well built too with a few tatoos, but  his body was nothing compare to the rock solid frame and the eight pack abdomen Eric had.  Eric was sex on a stick, Tanya thought.  She got all heated thinking of Eric....not Luke.

"Look, like I told you I  am sorry for all the trouble  I  caused you, but  I will never appologize for falling in love with you," Luke told Tanya.

She heard little he said; she was nervous that Eric would show up and see her with Luke and.....kill him.  Tanya said she couldn't stay and left.  

Eric was surprised to see her back so soon.  "Back so soon?" You don't trust me with my own daughter?" Eric asked.

Tanya thought that it would be best to be honest with him.
