If Tanya thought life with Eric was horrible, it was hell once he found out about the baby. For the next week Eric rarely came home after work and when he did, Tanya was already in bed. He took the news about the baby very hard. He went on a drinking binge.   Eric lived  at the  bar and club and was always with some girl.  All their friends  wanted to know what had gone wrong, but Tanya wouldn't say and neither would Eric.

Tanya pined over Eric constantly and would hardly eat. Tanya's family had cut her off. Not even her grandparents wanted to have anything to do with her. The few times Tanya visited her maternal grandparents, they kept saying what high hopes they had for her and how disappointed they were in her. Her other set of grandparents on her father's side refused to even see her. They blamed her totally for her father's death. She missed her family. She had no contact with any of them except for her aunt Daphne, and now Eric had completely alienated her too at a time when she needed him the most.

Daphne was worried about Tanya.  She was losing weight instead of gaining.   Daphne  had never seen a skinny pregnant woman before.  Daphne visited as often as she could and cooked all the fancy Island dishes to entice Tanya to eat but all she did was picked at her food saying that she had no appetite.

Daphne wanted Tanya to move in with her, but she refused citing school as her excuse but Daphne knew that  Tanya just wanted to be around Eric thinking that eventually he would forgive her for cheating on him;  Tanya made her aunt promise not to tell her family what was going on between her and Eric but her aunt pointed out that with all of Eric's indiscretions she was sure they already knew what was going on with her and Eric.

"Everything is so messed up; I am sorry Aunty," she cried.

"Don't tell me you sorry; tell your husband," Daphne said.

"He does not want to hear it. What am I going to do?" Tanya asked her aunt.

"I don't have all the answers but you could walk away;  you don't have to stay with him?" Her aunt said.

"It's my fault; I wreck our life; I shouldn't have gotten involved with Luke."

"I get that but what I don't get is why you think you have to stay with Eric knowing what you know; you are just glutton for punishment; he is not even hiding the fact that he is out there screwing everything that move; who does that with a pregnant wife at home?" Aunt Daphne said.

"I don't believe that he is screwing anyone...yet but he wants me to believe that he is doing that; that is his way of  hurting me.   I hurt him so bad and I feel I need to see this through; If I leave Sahita wins ," Tanya defended her stance.  She was hoping that the love Eric had for her would help him find his way back to her again and soon. She thought that the love  they shared  was enough to heal them.

Their friends  thought that they would be ecstatic that Tanya was pregnant again after the miscarriage they both went through, but instead they seemed very indifferent to it and barely talked about it. Everyone thought they had the most awesome relationship and wondered what went wrong with them.  Eric and Tanya brushed the concerns aside. Eric would never discuss his personal life with anyone. He kept everything bottled up inside him.

Tanya confided in Sharon but there was a lot that she held back; It was obvious to everyone that something had grossly gone wrong with Eric and Tanya. They would arrive separately at functions and leave separately and they would barely acknowledge each other presence. And Eric was behaving as if he was single again. He was openly dating other women. That was no secret.  He wanted Tanya to know that.
