I will be wearing my hard hat to deflect the stones that are about to drop on my head:) But pay careful attention as you read or you will miss what is happening here with Eric....and Tanya.
Eric was up early before Tanya and this time for some reason he didn't get mad at finding himself naked next to her. He ordered breakfast for her. Tanya kept staring at him, not believing how good a mood he was in.
"What?" he asked.
"Nothing," she said.
"Go eat before it gets cold; I already cut up your pan cakes for you; I want to get an early start back home," Eric said.
It was not often that Tanya had her husband all to herself and she wanted to savor the moment. "Eric could we take the scenic route along the coast back?" Tanya asked.
"No that will take all day; I don't have time for that crap; I need to get back as quickly as possible," Eric snapped.
"Fine," Tanya she said and pushed the tray of food aside.
"Come on eat; I want to see more meat on your ass," he joked but Tanya was not laughing .
"I am not hungry and you said you needed to get back," she said.
"Fine suit yourself," Eric said. If only she knew the power she had over him.
Eric made a stop before he left the city. He stopped at the plaza and told Tanya to come with him. They entered a jewelry store. Eric asked to see some designs of name pendants and Tanya looked at him. He told Tanya to choose the one that she wanted. His attention went to one in diamond and he pointed it out to her but Tanya thought that it was way too expensive.
"Do you like it?" Eric asked.
"Yes, I love it but," Tanya said.....he cut her off and told the sales clerk that they needed to order that one in diamond. The man said that it would take a couple of weeks to custom make it and he asked Tanya to spell her name to ensure there was no error in the spelling. She surprised Eric by spelling his name E.R.I.C. Eric looked at her.
"I thought you said that you wanted a necklace with your name," he said.
"No, I never said that; I said that I wanted a necklace with a name pendant," Tanya said.
He pulled her aside.
"Why? Why are you doing this?" he asked.
"Because you mean everything to me even if I don't mean anything to you," she said. That brought him to tears. Eric pulled her into a tight hug.
"Don't ever say that you don't mean anything to me; if you didn't, we would not be where we are right now," Eric told her with such passion in his voice.
Eric tried to talk Tanya out of getting the pendant with his name, it didn't work. She got exactly what she wanted, a pendant with Eric's name spelt out in diamond. Eric shook his head. He pulled out his wallet, went to a secret compartment and pulled out the necklace that Tanya gave him years ago with her name engraved boldly on the pendant.
"You still have it," she exclaimed with excitement.
"Yes I still have it; like you said, it was a gift," Eric said.

Despite saying no to taking the scenic route home , he did as Tanya asked. Tanya smiled.
"I enjoyed last night," Tanya said. Eric didn't reply.
