Eric was getting impatient  sittting on the tarmac  in the company's plane waiting for Lola's luggage to be  loaded on.  He could not believe  how much she brought...two loaded suitcases as if she was going on vacation for a couple of weeks.

the pilot announced that they were almost ready for take off.  Eric couldn't believe how she was dressed.  She was decked out in a mini skirt and  platform  shoes, with her hair down and sun glasses completed the look....   Lola dropped into the seat opposite Eric and quickly fastened her seat belt.

"You understand that we are going directly to the construction site?" Eric said.

"Yeah sure," Lola said.

"Then why are you not dressed for that? Those shoes will be a disaster on the site," he scolded.

"I have some flats in my bag here; I will change out of these," she said.

"And your clothes?" Eric asked.

"What is  wrong with my clothes?" she thought Eric was just being moody.

They were headed to a neighboring island to assess some damages to a project  from a recent storm.  Eric was in a rotten mood.   He  hated to leave the island with Neil sniffing around Tanya.  He intended to be back home in a couple of days.  Lola could stay longer if she wanted.

He called the house next morning to check in with Tanya.   Lloyd answered the phone.  Eric thought how unusual.  "Where is Tanya?" Eric asked.   Lloyd  was afraid to tell Eric that his wife and daughter had disappeared into thin air. Eric was like a man on fire when he heard.   "What the fuck you mean that they disappeared? He raged.

Lloyd explained to Eric  that he saw them the  previous night before he went to bed. He came down that  morning and there was no one there....not even Becky.  He checked the security feed and it showed Tanya, Becky and Ericka gettiing into her car earlier and driving away.  He thought  that they went down to the market,  but after  more than two hours he got suspicious and went looking for them.  "Jimmy is on it," Lloyd informed him.  Eric was not satisfied with Jimmy handling it.  He thought the law  worked much too slow.  The woman who kidnapped  Ericka was still in jail after almost two years waiting  to be tried.   He immediately hired a private detective to find them.

Eric cut his assignment short and headed back home leaving  Lola .  Jimmy had no news except to tell him that there was no sign of foul play.  "She left on her own bro," Jimmy concluded.   As Eric pulled up to the house, it looked desolate.  The lights outside were on, but the house was in darkness. He went in and hurried upstairs to Tanya's room. No one was in the house, not even her dog Pepper was there.  He could only  tell that Ericka's favorite blanket was missing.  None of Tanya's  friends  knew where she was or they were not saying.  It was as if they fell off the face of the earth. He was getting sick not knowing where they were.

Daphne had pity on him and told him that Tanya and Ericka were okay and that made Eric  feel better, but angry, to think that Tanya would just take off  and not say shit to him; to make him worry that something happened to them.  While Eric was going crazy looking for Tanya and Ericka, Tanya was chilling on a beach hundreds of miles away from home.

It was almost a week since they  left and not a word from Tanya. He wondered if she was ever coming back.  She  was not on the island.  This was what he got for listening to her  and loosening  her security.  He told himself that going forward  security was going to be tighter than fort knox.  Lloyd was going back on the job as  full time security detail for Tanya and Ericka.  Eric made a call to Lloyd.
