The doctor called Tanya back into the room after he examined Eric.  Tanya folded her arms about her.  She knew that what  she was about to hear was not good.

"What is wrong with him? He doesn't remember me? How bad is it?"

"Ms. Willbrooks, I dont want you to worry, Eric has some memory loss; this is common with this type of trauma to the brain, but I believe it is temporary; we are going to run some more tests," the doctor explained.

Eric kept looking at Tanya with his brow all knitted.  He didn't believe what the doctor said.  The girl was beautiful but she could not possible be his wife.  Why in hell would he get married at such a young age.   'How old am I anyway?' And his hair was all locked. He had so much hair that must have taken years  to grow that long and the tatoos on his body disturbed him.

There was one tatoo in particular carved onto his chest right over his heart....at first he thought it was a cross but  a closer look, he saw that is was a "T"  Was that  T for Tanya? Could I have been  that stupid to tatoo a girl's name on my body?  He was afraid to ask anyone what that meant.   Nothing made sense.  He felt as if he had woken up in the twilight zone. He did not recognize the person looking back at him in the mirror.  He was sorry that he asked for the mirror.

Rick and  Sahita walked into the room and Eric was just over the moon to see his parents....finally someone he recognized.  They looked older, but there was no doubt that they were his parents.  "Mom, Dad I want to go home," he told his parents.  Sahita looked at Eric shocked at what she heard, then at Rick.

"You can come home anytime you wish son, but we have to get the okay from the doctor; you were in a bad accident" Sahita said.

Rick looked to the doctor for answers.  The fact that Eric wanted to go home with Sahita and not Tanya told him right  away that something was grossly wrong.  "What is wrong with him?"

The doctor explained to his parents  that Eric had some memory loss due to the trauma he suffered.  '

'How fucking sad is that?'

Sahita took the news in stride, with a smile, but Rick was beyond pissed. "So you are telling me that like a piece of electronics he is reset back to zero, all his schooling, his career , his family....all of that is now fucking gone just like that? "

"Not zero Mr. Willbrooks, just his recent past...I am not 100% sure but I would say just the last eight to 10 years is missing.....temporarilly of course. I dont believe this is permanent; I need to do some more tests," He emphasized. 'You are fucking me; that means he remembers nothing of his wife and kid?'

"Rick calm down.....it is not the hospital or the doctors' fault," Sahita said.

"Calm down? Why are you not even concern about this news?" Rick asked.

"I am just grateful that he is alive."  The last thing Sahita needed was a fight with Rick.

Rick turned to the doctor. "You do all the tests you need to, call in all the experts you can, no expense speared....because if you cant help him then I need to get him to someone who can ASAP."

"I understand that sir; we are doing our best for Eric; we are in consult with our US colleagues," the doctor assured Rick.

His Uncle Linden who was observing everything walked over to Eric. "You ok son?"

Eric looked at him. it took a minute for him to recognize his uncle with the beard and  dread lock so long they were almost touching the floor. "Uncle Linden? Is that you?" His uncle hair was even longer than his.  Eric smiled at seeing his uncle.
