Chapter 39. Under The Veil

And if  Eric thought life was hell, he was just  about to find out what real hell was when Tanya found out that Eric went out of  his way to sever her relationship with Neil.   The fights got mean and nasty.   

She went to get her passport updated and was shocked to find out that there was a hold on it. They would not  give Tanya her passport.  They told her that there was a note in her file.  Tanya didn't have to ask who requested a hold.  She asked if there was also a hold on Ericka Willbrooks as well.  Only Eric could request or update Ericka's passport.  Tanya  had heard enough.  She was furious that Eric was holding her and her baby hostage on the island.

Tanya confronted him that evening when he got home. "I went to the passport office today," Tanya announced.  Eric looked at her.  

"They wouldn't give me my passport," Tanya said.  

Eric waited knowing what was coming.  "Why did you put a hold on my and Ericka's passport?" Tanya asked.

"You have the gall to ask why after what you did?" Eric was ready for the showdown.  He had been calm after she came back.....after she took  Ericka and left the island for more than a week with not a single word to him.   

"You cant keep me a prisoner here; I will find a way to leave and next time I won't come back ever," she screamed.

Eric was equally mad. "Scream all you want; but you wont get me to fucking budge on this; you can't be trusted." 

"You took off with my daughter and went on vacation with a man that  you knew nothing about," Eric reminded her.   "What the fuck were you thinking?" 

"I dont know you either and I live with you," She shouted.

"Are you fucking Neil?" He yelled.

"Yes Eric, I am fucking Neil just like I use to do you, remember how much you loved it?" She shouted back at him. You have become such a hater because you think I gave it to Luke; well my only regret is that I didn't fuck Luke," she screamed.

Eric grabbed her and turned her around to face him. "What the fuck did you just say to me?" he asked. 

She didn't care anymore.  "You remember you called it your honeycomb? Well it's still as sweet as ever and Neil is a much better lover than you ever was," Tanya told him. She  could see the rage in his eyes. He looked like he was about to have a stroke. She was sure he would kill her if he didn't have one.  Eric slapped her hard across the face; she fell back against the counter and he pounced and grabbed her by the neck and started to choke her. Tanya kneed him real hard under his crotch; he let go of her neck and slumped to the floor.

Tanya ran from the room  as he screamed out and doubled over in pain on the floor. She  grabbed her purse and ran to her car and kept driving. She wanted to find Neil. She wondered if he was  home. She couldn't stop crying. She knew she was taking a risk but she drove to his house anyway. Neil opened the door and she just fell into his arms. He calmed her down and then took her keys and pull her car into his garage. He was sure that Eric would be looking for her.

Back at the house, Eric was seeing stars from the knee Tanya gave him. He wondered if he should go see a doctor.  He was still on the floor in pain when Becky came to the doorway. She didn't even seem to care that he was in agony on the floor. She was obviously upset with him too. Becky told him she was leaving but she didn't see Tanya anywhere. Becky left Ericka with him and hurried away. Eric called after her, but she pretended not to hear. Ericka ran to her father and threw her arms around his neck and hugged him. Ericka noticed instantly that something was wrong with her father.
