Paul held Evan as they walked off the elevator, looking around for either one of his bandmates. Quickly spotting the drummer leaning against the wall talking to one of the nurses on the floor. The singer let out a whistle causing the toddler to cover his ears and Eric to look up. Paul waved his free hand for the younger man to follow him to the nearby waiting room sitting Evan down on one of the chairs.
"Hey Evan, you ready to go play?" Eric asked as he walked over to them.
"At your house?" Evan countered
"Yup, at Uncle Eric's house" The drummer smiled.
"Daddy and Eric are going to talk really quick, and then you can go bye-bye, Okay?" Paul asked.
The singer grabbed Eric's arm and led him out of earshot of the two-year-old already feeling uncomfortable with having to bring his son to the hospital. Paul took one more look at Evan and turned back to Eric, waiting for whatever information the younger man had for him to be unleashed.
"What's going on? Has the doctor been up yet?" Paul asked.
"The nurse I was talking to when you called me over like a dog, thanks, by the way, said the machine pumping the sedative called Diprivan was shut off. Y/N could be waking up at any time." Eric replied.
"Are you sure you can handle him while I wait up here with her? Its been a while since I let you watch Evan, and he's a wild one," Paul admitted
"I can handle him. We always have a good time together," The drummer said.
Paul shook his head and walked back over to his son, smiling as Evan lit up at the sight of his father and uncle. The guitarist picked up the toddler and kissed him all over his face before handing him over to Eric. The singer patted the drummer's shoulder in a small gesture to thank him.
"I'll see you in a bit, keep Eric in line for me, okay?" Paul told the little boy.
"I try, daddy," Evan replied.
"Don't teach him anything that I'll have to spend half a day explaining to his mother, okay?" The singer pleaded.
Eric shook his head and pushed Paul in the direction of the hospital room. Paul took in a deep breath looking over his shoulder one more time to see the two guys getting on the elevator before walking toward your room. The singer stopped at the nurses' desk, wanting to get as much information as to prepare himself for what could occur next.
"I was told that my girlfriend's sedation meds had been stopped, and she should be waking up soon. What am I suppose to do?" Paul asked,
"It's not a stupid question at all, She's starting to stir around right now, but you'll treat the situation like she's waking up from a nap. You can talk to her and see if that will move the process along. Just don't panic if she doesn't remember things immediately ." The nurse said, smiling.
"What about the baby?" The guitarist asked, feeling his throat go dry.
"Everything still seems normal from the chart. I'll send the doctor in once Ms. Y/L/N wakes up." She replied.
"Thank you," Paul replied.
Paul walked straight into your room and pulled up the chair next to your bed as close as humanly possible. He grabbed your hand and pulled it to his face holding it. The singer moved his free hand to your stomach, hoping everything would turn out all okay for you and the baby. The blanket moved slightly, causing his head to dart up to your face. Paul stood up from the chair and ducked his head down close to your ear, running his hand softly through your hair.
