Chapter 6 - New York New York

*Charlotte pov*
It's been two months since Tom and I started our relationship and I couldn't be happier plus the kids love him and he loves the kids...it's a win-win!
This week is going to be full of new meetings...Tom needs to do some reshoots and a photo shoot in New York, he invited us to come along and we decided to go since the kids have some time off school. We'll be staying in New York for a week and, once back, Diana, Tom's mother, invited us for lunch to her house. So after meeting Tom's co-stars me and the kids will also be meeting Diana, Sarah and Emma.
I'm beyond excited and a bit nervous of course, but Tom always finds a way to make me feel better.
"Kids! Tom will be here soon, come downstairs with your bags"
"Mine is already in the hallway, I'll help Alex get his down"
"Thank you sweetie"
"Mommy...do you want to know what I put in my bag?"
"What baby?"
"Loki's pj!"
"Wow...Tom is going to love it!"
As if on cue there's a knock on the door, Ellie rushes down the stairs leaving Alex bag in the middle of the room
"I'll get it!" She says excited
She opens the door and there there's Tom, smiling big seeing Ellie
"Tom!"
"Hey darling!" He says bringing her in a hug and kissing her forehead once they break it
Next comes Alex, he runs to Tom and he picks him up, spinning around.
"Hi little man!"
"Hi Tom!" He says tightening the hug, Tom laughs and places a kiss on his head.
"Can I have a kiss too?" I ask looking at my boyfriend
Tom puts down Alex and in a quick move he embraces me in a hug and kisses my lips sweetly.
I help him getting our stuff in the car while the kids put their shoes on.
"We are ready!" Alex says after five minutes
"Then let's go" Tom says
We buckle in and head for the airport
"Guys...once in there I want you to duck your head down if there are paparazzi. Never, for any reason leave our side or break the grasp on our hand. I sent my bag in New York last week so I only have a little backpack, I'm going to take your bags, Alex and Ellie you take a hold on mommy's hands and you darling" he says looking at me for a moment "you, just follow me"
"Got it! Kids?"
"Understood!" The both say
20 minutes later we are at Heathrow
"All right, here we go!" Tom says entering the airport
There are not a lot of paparazzi, I instantly see Tom relax and I do too.
Once on the plane Ellie starts to read a book while Alex engages a conversation with Tom.
It's a more than seven hours flight, we booked the tickets for a 7pm London hour, so once in New York we have half a day and a night to get rested and adjust to New York time.
Ellie decide to sit next to Tom, so Alex stays with me.
Soon after take off, he starts a movie while I listen to some music, glancing at Tom and Ellie every once in a while.

*Tom pov*
I'm seated next to Ellie on the plane and we start a conversation about Marvel and my co-stars
"So...what do you want to know?"
"Uhm...I suppose you can't tell me anything about the movie?"
"Sorry...but maybe, maybe if you're lucky the director will let you assist to one of our reshoot"
"Cool! What is like to work with the other actors and actresses?"
"Very fun! Lots of pranks during filming or when we are eating or in our trailers"
"Who's the biggest prankster?"
"Uhm...I'd say Chris Evans...yeah definitely him!"
"What does he do?"
"Once he replaced the cream inside the biscuits with his minty toothpaste, uhm...he scares us a lot! Like there was one time when Robert, Scarlett and I were walking around set and he was behind a trailer and suddenly jumped out and screamed"
"He sounds so funny!"
"Oh he is...believe me!"
"Will we meet them?"
"Of course!"
"Really? All of them?"
"Absolutely...excited?"
"Very! But I know that you'll still be my favorite after meeting them"
"Awww" I say hugging her
"I love you Tom" she whispers in my chest during the hug, just enough for me to hear it
"I love you too, my sweet Ellie!"
She then leans on me, grabs her book an continue her reading.
I glance at Charlotte and blow her a kiss, after that I take my own book and relax.
