Chapter 97 - A well known feeling

We came back from Africa a little over two weeks ago and it's now the start of summer. Ellie and Alex finished school three days ago and had to do a test to see if they passed the year since they are homeschooled, and they did.
We also began organizing for little trips during summer, obviously including a trip with the avengers cast and one to Maillorca so Tom and the other actors and actresses can wrap up filming for The Night Manager.

This morning Tom left with all four of the kids for a day at some sort of sport camp, so right now I'm alone at home folding laundry.

A, now well known, feeling it's been bugging me for days so once I'm done I change and grab the car keys going to the mall.

I pay for my pregnancy test and head for the public bathrooms, I could have waited to go home yes, but I'm to eager to know.
Once I did what I had to do I put the cap back on both tests and wait the canonic three minutes that obviously will be the longest of my life.

When the alarm on my phone goes off I jump a bit, I take a few deep breaths and turn the test:
Pregnant.
I'm pregnant, we are going to have another baby! Oh my god!
Tears flow down my cheeks as I smile widely.
Tom and I decided to give it a go two weeks before going to South Sudan but nothing happened then, but now I am with child!
I exit the toilette and wash my hands and as I do so another lady comes in and washes her hands too near me.
"Are you all right dear?"
"Uhm...yeah" I say, my voice trembling a bit
"You sure? You have been crying and your hands are shaking! Do you feel not well? I'm a nurse"
"Oh no thank you...I...I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm a bit emotional, that's all"
"Oh that's wonderful news, isn't it?"
"Absolutely! Can't wait to tell my husband and kids"
"Aww, how many do you have?" She says as she dries her hands
"Four. A 17 year old, a 12 year old and two year old twins"
"Well, congratulations darling!"
"Thank you! Also for you concern" I smile at her and she smiles back
"Just doing my job, have a nice day"
"You too"

Ok...so officially the first person to know is a stranger I met in a public bathroom...
I proceed to go buy t-shirt to surprise the family and head back home just in time to wrap them up and wait for Tom and the kids.

"Mom! We are home!" Alex says entering the front door followed by his brother and sisters and of course Tom
"Hi babies! Did you have fun?" I say hugging each one of them and pick up the twins briefly
"It was good, lots of sports to play and for all ages right little monsters?" Ellie says tickling Lukas and Kate
"Yes!"
"Ok, go change and come back to me"
They nod each of the big kids picking up a little one to help them change.
"Hi love"
"Hi hubby" I say hugging him and kissing his neck
"How was your day?"
"Good...good...go change and come back here with the kids"
"Why?"
"Just do it..."
"Ok" he says before walking upstairs
I set the presents on the coffe table in the living room and sit down, nervously waiting for them and almost not being able to keep my excitement at ease.

"Is this a family reunion?" Ellie says plopping down on the couch with Kate in her arms, Alex on her left side, Tom on my right and Lukas on the floor as always...
"Some sort of..."
"Ok..." Alex says
"There's a gift each for you"
They grab them, even Lukas and Kate reach out for the gifts
"I want you to open them at the same time ok?" They nod "3, 2, 1..."
They care open the packages and lift what's inside reading the words over and over then I hear Ellie and Alex squeal in excitement
"What what?" Kate says still trying to open hers, so Alex and Ellie help her and Lukas as Tom stares at me.
"You are going to be a brig brother Lukas!" Alex tells him sitting him on his legs
"Big bwother?"
"Yes...you are baby" I say touching his cheeks gently
I turn back to Tom and smile at him
"Please say something babe"
He just hugs me and kisses my lips lovingly, then he drew away breathing hard and smiles, wiping a tear on his cheek
"We are having another baby"
"We are!"
I'm suddenly engulfed by my four kids and husband's arms and I let go my joy, tears staining once again my face.
