*Tom's pov*
Today, being Sunday, I picked up Charlotte and the kids bright and early, well not that early...around 9, to take them on a tour of London.
"So...we will be going to see the Big Ben and Buckingham Palace, where we can see the Guard Mounting at 11 o'clock, then we'll take a walk and have lunch somewhere and in the afternoon we are going to the Sea Life London Aquarium and on the London Eye, which is very near the aquarium"
"That sounds fun, kids?"
"I can't wait!" Ellie says
"Me too!" Alex says
"None of you are scared of heights right?" I ask Charlotte
"No no don't worry"
"Good"
I take her hand after shifting the gear and she smiles at me.
After parking the car we walk to the Big Ben and I start to explain to them when it was constructed and other things
"You know the tower was completed in may 1859 and it took about 15 years to finish it"
"That's a looong time" Alex says
"Yes it is!" I say ruffling his hair "inside the tower there is also a prison room, but it's not accessible from the tower itself"
"From where then?" Ellie asks
"From the House of Commons" I say pointing at it
"How tall is it?" Alex asks
"Mmm about 100 meters, oh and also since 1987 the tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site"
"I think you need to explain to them what UNESCO is Tom" Charlotte whispers to me
"Oh...right. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is an area that has legal protection by an international convention that is administered by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organizations"
"That's the acronym of UNESCO!" Ellie says
"Exactly!" I say
We then walked to Buckingham Palace, the kids and Charlotte faces while the change of Guards were priceless, they watched every single detail of it and I admired their expressions.
"That was awesome Tom, thank you!" Charlotte says taking my hand and kissing my cheek
"Eheheh my pleasure, I've seen it many times and today I focused my attention on your faces"
"Awww"
She gave me another kiss, this time on the lips, and then took Alex hand as I take Ellie's.
While walking to a little place to eat lunch, some fans recognized me.
"Hi, sorry for bothering you!"
"Hi!" I say and the girl smiles
"Hi..."
"Oh don't be shy...here" I say giving her a hug
"Do you mind to sign my phone case?" She asks
"Of course not...Charlotte do you guys mind to wait a moment?"
"Absolutely not...it's cute to see you interact with fans"
"Thank you darling"
I take the girl phone and sign it
"What's your name?"
"Laura"
"Laura, and who's this?" I say pointing to the woman standing behind her
"My mum"
"Hi Laura's mum"
"Hello!"
"Want to take a quick picture?" I ask
"Yes, thank you" she says smiling
I hand her phone back and she hands it to her mother who takes a picture of us
"Thank you so much Tom!"
"Thank you for your support Laura!"
"Oh by the way your girlfriend and her kids are beautiful!" She says
I look at Charlotte and the kids and smile back at Laura
"They are!"
Charlotte chimes in smiling and saying "thank you, you are beautiful too and so is your mother"
We say goodbye to the girl and proceed to order lunch once we are sat at the table.
Once we are done with lunch, of course we had fish and chips, we take the car and drive to the Sea Life London Aquarium and get tickets to head inside.
"I love animals!" Alex says
"I do too, what's your favorite animal in this aquarium Tom?"
"Uhm...probably the dolphins"
"I heard there is an underwater tunnel"Charlotte says
"There is...it's very cool"
"Look that's a shark" Alex says pointing at the sharks tank
"Oh there's also a little one" Ellie says
The adventure and the aquarium was beautiful and the kids had fun looking and learning lots of things about the animals.
"Now...to the London eye!" I say picking up Alex and carry him until we are under the attraction, and after paying for tickets we got inside the capsule.
There are other people in the capsule but everyone was minding its out business.
We took a few pictures of us and of the view, and after 30 minutes the tour was done and we got off.
Driving back home we listen to music and talk about how fun the day was.
